A Mes rate: Cask at Baker St. ’Sporks.
Bright copper with a thin bubbly off white head. Aroma has a reasonable malt and hop balance with some slight tobacco. Flavour of nutty, earthy malt with a kick of bitterness at the finish. Harsh fruit and corn notes do it no favours.

Handpulled cask at JDW Watford. Pretty bland with no Burton snatch at all! I expected a more interesting beer from this brewery having visited their tap a few years ago and enjoyed what I tried there.

Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Amber with a small white head. Slight malt aroma. Some sweet malt and fruit in the taste. Mid bitter finish. Straight down the middle no-frills bitter which does its job.

3 Judges. Aroma is slihgtly sulphur, nutty and malty. Taste is again on the malty side of balance, nutty hgints and nutmeg, malty base.
