Can. Pours a decent golden-yellow with a thin white head that lasts. Very similar to Busch, but has a little more bitterness to it. A pretty good N/A, since it is comparable to the regular version. That may seem like a bad, but for me it is a good. Refreshing and rather enjoyable, when one wants a beer, but can’t have one.

Okay, I know this is the punching bag for RB but I’m going to go into this one objectively. Pours a very pale golden with a light white head that actually has some lacing. Aroma is atypical wet paper bag with some rancid water in the background. What little flavor there is reminds me of a light apple cider. Does not have that carbonation that one usually finds in an NA that I dislike. Not much of a mouthfeel. To be honest, this is not that bad as far as NAs go - I would sooner drink this than something that has that twang that some poorly done micros can have when not brewed properly or substandard ingredients are used.

"Beer" #9 RBSG 06. Thanks to Maniac for making sure I had the chance to try this. Pale fizzy yellow. No aroma. Literally none. Almost no flavor as well, just slight corn. Really better than it is given credit for. Or perhaps my palate was fatigued and I was unable to appreciate the subtle nature of the vileness. Had trouble getting people to try this one. Excellent for rinsing out the glass. Whaleman commented that there was still a drop of the Upstream Barleywine in his glass when he poured the Busch, and the single drop of Upstream came clear through in the aroma. Ultimately, I’ve had far worse, as this wasn’t aggressively bad. There was just literally nothing there.

This tastes like...a light non-alcoholic brew. It is not...bad per se, yet it very professionally maneuvers away from being ’good’. It doesn’t have much ’taste’, or a ’palate’ to describe, but it is somehow less offensive than the regular, foul Busch. So, if I were going for something boring and dull and without alcohol, well, I think on second thought I’d just choose tea or something...

2008-08-24. Crisp transparent yellow body that manages a decent albeit short lived white head with a swirl of the glass. Muted aroma of grainy straw, similar flavour of dilute straw and grassy cereals that are fairly washed out. Vaguest touch of bitterness. Palate is thin, but surprisingly decent for a N/A. At least its not skunky. Wisely chose to depart from it before it started to warm up. The cold is your friend on this one. Can, c/o Biegaman

Can from Kegs & Barrels in Plano, TX. Pours light straw yellow, white fizzy head. Aroma of corn with signs of grain. Flavor, suprisingly, was very similar to a Busch beer. Mouthfeel is light body, over carbonation. Overall, I didn’t think it was all that bad for a NA, better then carbonated water.

Can, 2000th rating: Pale yellow with a thick quickly diminishing white head, sweet malt aroma with a bit of corn, but not sickly sweet like some NA beers. Starts lightly sweet and ends lightly sweet. Watery light body, but with soft carbonation. This is the best NA beer that I have ever tried.

Ya know, this is actually not a bad non-alcoholic, after you get used to it. It doesn’t warrant the all 1’s ratings it has been receiving. However, it’s still not good. Only drink if you really need an NA beer.
