Commercial Description:
It was created in 1933 by Alfred Dubuisson, grand-father of the present family brewer, Hugues. Its former name was "Bush Beer 24°" (the density in Ballings), but today it is known as Bush Amber. Its amber colour is due to the use of caramel malt in the production process. Its bitter sweet taste provides it with firmness and personality. What's more, it helps digestion.

Bottle from Wine Warehouse Charlottesville. Pours reddish gold with a medium head. Fruity, malty aroma with notes of peach, caramel and alcohol. Taste is butterscotch, caramel, peach. Alcohol hidden well. Damn tasty. Very light feel.

12 oz bottle at Coffee District. Pours a lightly hazy amber with a small foamy off white head. Sweet honey aroma with some definite caramel and apple in the nose. Very strong belgian, a little to strong. Alcohol is in your face but the taste that accompanies is very nice indeed. Tons of honey and citrus but no real hope presence. Alot of vanilla and caramel in the finish and a spice note. This is actually very similar to some of the better tripels but with a bit less spice and stronger alcohol. Well done.

Tap @ O’Brien’s. Pours hazy amber with a thick, rocky off-white head. Funky sweet aroma, lots of caramel and sugar, bubblegum, red apple, bread, and maple syrup. Strong flavor. Yeast ester bubblegum with nougat, but blended with a sourness and oak. More flavor comes out as it warms. Sherry, cherry, butterscotch, orange candy, and brown sugar blend with the early tastes. Somewhat heavy, and the alcohol is very warm.

250ml bottle. Pours bright, slight hazy orange/amber with a thin white head, specks of lace. Smells crisp malty with big sweetness in the back, some alcohol as well. Tastes malty and sweet with a good bit of alcohol, almost fruity in its malty sweetness. Full body, ok carbonation.

This classy ale comes with all the attributes of a real gentleman’s drink. A rich and strong aroma: apples, cotton candy, strawberry preserves, bubble gum, black pepper, marshmallow, grape soda, fresh oranges and a sweet vinegar, in a mix that could be called truly sophisticated. Follow that with an equally potent flavor - Flemish sour ale vinegar woodiness, sherry and dry fruits, and a finish with wood and heavy grain notes. All this in the presentation of a visibly flavorful beer, marked by its deep orange amber complexion and a head built from bubbles ranging from small to large. Good drinking here!

This a big beer in a little bottle. Really thick sweet and warm I could see this as a good nightcap. Nothing really special but a solid Strong Belgian.
