The taste is think, almost syrupy. Such deep fruit flavors, alcohol definitely present on the exhale. Extraordinary.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Poured from 25cl bottle, amber with a reddish hue, and a large foamy white head that disappeared when I blinked my eyes. Nose was dried fruit, caramel, and malt. Taste was sweet, just a little bitter, medium bodied with a great aftertaste. Excellent dessert beer for the holidays. My bottle poured out copper red with a big head. Has a sweet smell that reminded me of fruit. I found it to be a very tasty beer. Not the best but far from the worst. If you and this beer end up in the same room it would be worth trying.

| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | Dec 13, 2009 Apple butter aroma. Murky ochre, with amorphous solids, no head. Full body. Overripe apples and medium roasted malt, cloying. Alcohol distracting. Bitter applecore finish. On paper, this sounds like it might be good, but it didn’t go over well with me at all. Unbalanced. beerchugger (305), Colorado, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 12, 2009 Pours a bubbly copper color with a creamy off-white head. Though the head doesn’t remain for very long, it does leave a nice ring on top the beer and attractive lacing on the sides of the glass. A lovely and complex aroma comes from this one with some smells of browned sugar, molasses, and plums that seem to be most noticeable. Other aromas include raisins, candied sugar, and rich sweet fruits. There are hints of rich butter and perhaps a touch of booze that add a layer of complexity. Just an all around incredible aroma! A rather creamy beer with surprisingly a touch of butter washing over the tongue. The fruits are rather subdued but the rich sweet sugars come through with power providing flavors of molasses and candied sugars. The finish reveals a nice and surprising layer of cereal grains. A rather thick mouthfeel, yet bubbly. This is a very nice beer, perfect for the cold winter months of the Christmas season. Highly recommend it. shawnm213 (951), South Bend, Indiana, USA

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 9, 2009 A golden-brown beer with no head. The aroma was sweet, fruity, & the same sour like qualities as the Bush Ambree Scaldis. The taste was sweet, fruity, some leather, & that same off putting sourness. This is not that likeable. evergreen0199 (275), London, Greater London, England
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 7, 2009 Draught at White Horse, London. Deep brown pour with a decent head on top. Nice malty, sweet, fruity, honey aroma. Tastes sweet, dark fruit, malty, festive spices, honey. Incredibly warming and comforting Belgian Christmas ale. Much better on tap than from the bottle IMO.
