Poured a syrupy golden-copper color with a moderate white head that faded to a layer. Sweet, lightly spicy malt aroma with some light tart notes and a hint of hops. Lightly tart entry with some moderate malt sweetness, including some light caramel and some spiciness. Moderate yeasty presence on the finish with some hops peaking through and undertones of soft citrus fruit. Soft carbonation with a moderate bite. Perhaps it was a bad bottle, because I wasn’t as enamored by this beer as many others seem to be. Lubiere (4551), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

A pleasant caramel aroma and candy sugar, herbal, coriander, grassy and wild vegetation and alcohol, In mouth, an intense sild carbonated beer, with coriander, wild herbs, light acidity and barn. A wild and wonderful beer. Rich and complex. A nice way to finish a tasting. Old Stock VI evening, March 23 2007. fata2683 (921), Panama City, Florida, USA

What can I say, I like most of the Dubuisson beers but this one is incredible. Almost like sipping a fine scotch. The alcohol is not as intense as you would think. I definatley plan to get more of this before leaving Europe. Re-rate September 08’ - Just as good as I remember. I have to give this a boost because it looks so good in the glass and is so smooth and creamy. Top notch. MaltOMeal (653), Land of Sugar, Texas, USA

Nose of yeast, malt and spices. Taste of yeast, fruit and spice. Mouthfeel was medium and very carbonated with alcohol warmth. Not a fan, especially for what it cost me. Dark, hazy copper pour, big creamy white head, with spotty lacing. Sweet, ripe fruit in the nose, peach, pear, apricot, caramel. Zesty, some spicy yeast. Flavor has some slight mango, clove, banana, heavy malts, brown sugar, smooth spicy feel, with hops in the finish. Yummy. Very smooth and very drinkable. ABV is very well hidden, dangerously even. Very unique and very great. techcommdood (2), , New York, USA does not count | 5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 5/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 20/20 | Jul 14, 2008 Absolutely stellar. The other ratings have done this fine beer justice in their descriptions, so a big "ditto" here from me.
