| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Jan 5, 2008 Pours a murky golden brown thick off white head. Notes of vanilla, biscuit, bourbon, and oak. Flavor is a deep caramel, spice, coriander, dusty vanilla oak and bourbon. Finishes dry and spicy. This beer has complex esters and the oak does wonders to add to the complexity. Bush is the true king of beers. Papsoe (15103), Frederiksberg, Denmark

Hazy, amber golden with tiny, floating impurities and a bubbly, off-white head. Fat aroma of whisky and oak barrels. Medium body, dry caramel accents - like in a white Port - with distinct and very sophisticated accents of vanilla and oak. Dry and slightly astringent finish with some alcohol. A very interesting beer. 251207 Borup (1359), Albertslund, Denmark

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Dec 24, 2007 A Mes rate: from a 75cl bottle at Kerstfest, Essen. Cloudy amber brown with an impressive white head. Slightly oxidised? Putty, earthy, barrelly and lots of alcohol. Caramel and orange and the wood of the barrel is very clear. Impressively dry. Bush with some serious knobs on. The barrel aging works really well. Bloody lovely. dahfoto (7), Denver, Colorado, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 23, 2007 From Magnum @ Kerstbier Fest, Essen. Amber color with notes of caramel, oak, prunes and raisins. Very complex on the palate and reveals so much more as it warms up. Dark fruits with a tart oak background. Outstanding and will only get better with age. KimJohansen (7130), Copenhagen V, Denmark
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 15, 2007 [Bottle at Bier Circus] Hazy amber with small head. Sweet aroma, with wood, toffee and strong notes of alcohol. The sweet flavor has oranges, wood, yeast and strong pressence of alcohol. Full bodied. Alcohol is to present and aging will do this one well. DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Dec 6, 2007 Bottle from Capone’s. Turbid dull orangy pour with 3-fingers of off-white head. The head was very fizzy and loud, but stuck around for a while, and reappeared at every repour, and due to the big carbonation, repours were numerous. The aroma was oaky funky malt, sour mashy figgy fruit, champagne yeast, some old aley dusty fruit wafts. The flavor was fruity in a champagney way, with some dusty yeast esters throughout, plus some earthy oaky malt notes, and spices noted late. Very complex palate with a fizzy yet rich feel on the tongue. This beer is marvelous.
