This was a very special experience that every beer drinker should be so lucky to have. It if weren’t prohibitively expensive it would probably be the most talked about beer in the world. Pours a cloudy orange-golden, frothy head. Sweet and strong. Dry alcohol finish. Perm (151), Tryon, North Carolina, USA

Definitely a "sipping" beer (13% abv, with the fizziness to boot), with sweet notes. It pours a nice fizzy head that dies away fairly soon. The nose bursts with grass, hay, coriander, brown sugar, the ocean, and wet moss. It is sweet yet smooth, with a finish like cognac or brandy. Definitely an aperitif beer. When this bottle is opened it jizzes everywhere for about two minutes. Pours a hazy dark orange with a light tan head that sticks around for awhile. Also has sediment floating around in it. OK flavor with a fruity taste and a bread taste too. Drank this out of a tumbler. Not worth $40 a bottle. CIPS514 (77), Lawrenceville, Georgia, USA

It has a great head with a hazy gold body. The sedement is through out. The taste is amazing but the after taste is alluring. alexanderj (2286), Chino Hills, California, USA

Was excited to try this, due to it being too expensive to buy normally. Forget what vintage it was; a few years back. Was profoundly disappointed, maybe it was aged too long. Flavor of fruit, alcohol, citrus and oak. Palate wasn’t great and it had a lot of carbonation. Hopefully I get to rerate at some point. BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal

Have waited 1½ year to open this bottle.
Hazymuddy deep orange with bubbling white head and a nice complex aroma of oak perfumed alcohol (in a good way), vanilla, great mix of sweet and sourness. Aroma not as intense as expected, but the flavor took over with better notes of similar observations added with yeasty fruits, hints of sherry, spices (coriander) ending up in a dry end. Very smooth in its character despite its high ABV and indeed a worldtop classbeer. Nice to know that I have another one in my cellar! emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
