Oct 17, 2008 0,7l bottle: Hazy red colour, with a nice creamy head. Aroma of citrus, jeast,flowers,viny,alcy,and a fruity ending. Flavor has a smouth mouth feeling, with a dominas of oak, fruitynes , alcyand caramel. full body and a nice medium fruity finish. Nice belgian strong ale this is.

Oct 13, 2008 750 ml "champagne" bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Deep golden to amber colour, moderate head. Lovely vinous aroma with notes of oak, fruit and berries. The flavour is also pleasantly oaky and fruity, with a "refreshing" touch which is quite astonishing for a 13% ABV beer. Well, you get an idea that this is a strong beer, but not as strong as it actually is. It is not too sweet, and the aftertaste is moderately spicy. A great beer!

Oct 11, 2008 Bottled@EBF 2008. Hazy golden-orange body. Tiny coarse white head. Aroma has an inviting fruity sweetness, apples and cherries detected. Also a scent of caramel, vanilla and wood. Extremely flavorful; lots of refined malts, acidulous fruits, mild spices and gentle bittering hops. Warming alcohol, and touch of oak and spices. Full-bodied. Lively, but still soft mouthfeel. Dry, fruity and spicy finish. Awesome!

Oct 4, 2008 Fairly large sample from 750 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. This one pours a hazy amber color with a large beige head that leaves sporadic lacing. The aroma is rich malty, caramel, fruits (peaches, apricots,...), yeast, and alcohol. The flavor is big in many ways: big caramel malt presence, big alcohol, the oak does subdue some of the Belgian character and smoth things out. There is still the yeast and Belgian spices. This is a top notch beer.

Sep 30, 2008 Bottle 75 cl. Fantastic aroma of a good cognac. Small rocky off-white head with spare lacing. Sparkling and cloudy amber/orange body. Light hop aroma of oranges, heavy yeast aroma, heavy in alcohol, nice aromas of peach, pear, apricot cask wood and honey. Spiced, fruity and fresh.

Sep 27, 2008 2008 bottle. Hazy dark amber, medium to thick head. Spicy aroma of cloves. Fruity almond flavour with licorice-ish finish. Nice body. Great beer.
