sweaty alcohol aroma with hints of birch, suspended sediment in a cloudy yellow body, super strong alcohol dominates with budding woodiness, not as complex as expected

Red/Brown colour. Typical Belgian sweet/sour smell. Nicely balanced with a large portion of oranges and caramel. A good body and after taste (Belgian sourish and pepper). Highly recommendable.

Bottle. Cloudy brownish with a very small head. Slightly acidic aroma with elements of citrus, portwine, sugar, apples and some alcohol. Fine sweet taste of fruit, yeast, apples, raisin, wood and some pepper. Great mouthfeel, body was medium. Ridiculously easy to drink despite the high alcohol content. A nice beer, no doubt.

A fascinating color that mixes different shades of brown and orange with golden hues. Could perhaps be labeled as rusty. Very hazy, the last pour resulted ridiculous amounts of floaters in the glas. A medium sized cream colored head that is really creamy and lasts throughout the experience. Nice lacings. The smell is of fresh fruits (apples, pears, grapes), yeast, dough, fudge and caramel. Some notes of oak. Some alcohol. A dense and rich smell with some champagne qualities to it. The flavor has plenty of sweet fresh fruits up front. Apples, pears and grapes. More sweetness is added by gentle notes of caramel. A very subtle floral note. A nicely defined oak character does a great job framing everything. A somewhat phenolic taste of alcohol appears in the finish. Very smooth texture. Great mouthfeel from the foam. Medium body. I liked this one. Complex and rather balanced. The 13% ABV is well hidden, but is still just a little too prominent in the finish. Considering it’s rather sweet, I don’t think I’d like to consume a whole 750 ml bottle of this myself, but I’d try it again if I had the opportunity. It poured a slightly amber liquid with a small dirty white foam. It had a smell of ripe fruit, vanilla, spices, fruit candy and peaches. It was quite a sweet smell with an alcoholic finish. The mouthfeel was smooth with a light body and low bitterness. It had a taste of ripe fruit, dried fruit, well it was quite fruity and sweet in general. I also sensed some dragon fruit and raisin. Just as with last time I really enjoyed this beer. It has a nice mouthfeel and a nice balance and variety of tastes that I enjoyed.

Light amber to appearance. Aroma gives a nice treat, quite wine-like. Fiery taste with hints of yeast. Sweet, champagne and cardamon savor.
