Light bready malt forward aroma is pleasant if simple. Clear deep copper coloured body topped by an almond coloured head that recedes to partial cover with some lacing. Bready and toasted malt flavour with decent botterness and lightly spicy, earthy hop flavours. Piquante carbonation is quite assertive. Rather dry medium body. Sampled on tap at the brewpub before the Als/Riders game.

(Draught) 5 oz sampler tasted at the brewpub on December 29, 2005, for $1.50. Lasting large white head with a golden-orange body. Roasted and filling bready nose - yet the flavour was somewhat thin and mildly buttery and acidic. I definitely enjoyed the Classic Vienna more...

A lighter gold than the other Bushwakker beers. Nice white head. Aroma is slightly syrupy and oily. Malty yes but a definate hop prescence frrom start to finish. Malt provides a trace of caramel or toffee. Almost like a lower IBU IPA. Trace of high quality nuts in the finish. Bushwakker is a definate stop on a trip through Regina. (No one stays there, right?)

One of the best of this style that I have ever tried. Light hop aroma, pours amber to medium brown, small white head. Tons of flavour right off the bat, in the form of malt and nuttiness, gives way to smooth clean finish with a nice hop flavour. Great carbonation through the entire glass (from a 650ml bottle) yet never becomes too fizzy. A great brew, thanks Rudge75.

Dark amber colour with a diminishing off-white fizzy head. Aroma is dominated by butterscotch, with bready notes creeping in. Bread and cookie flavours up front, and remaining mostly sweet through the finish with a nutty character joining in. Light to medium bodied and smooth. Thanks Dave.

Bottled sample via paco. Pale orange in colour with moderate carbonation. Aromas are of toasted bread, munich malt, orange marmalade, and light floral hops. The toast flavors are more toasted-nutlike. The bread element in the mouth is a bit more untoasted. A bit of spice, and a bit more of the malty orange thing. More hop flavor than expected, but still within style guidelines. Medium to light bodied. Very well executed, and very drinkable. Well done!

650ml Bomber filled fresh from the brewery 1 week ago. Pour puts a beautiful red-copper lager in the glass with a very slight protien haze...has a puffy, clinging 2 finger sandy colored cap which lasts well and laces. Moderate carbonation. Aromas of rich toasty-sweet red Munich type malts and just the slightest whisp of herbal noble hopping. Meduim bodied, gentle creamyness to the mouth feel....wunderbar! Starts out with a nice infusion of toasty-nutty, bread- like malts that give a impression of liquid Bavarian walnut loaf then the attenuated nobels give some herbal buffering to the rich toasty malts midway and produces a soft elegant mix of maltiness and herbs that dries out and bitters the crisp finish just enough to keep the drink from being sweet.... appetising biscuit snap in the after taste as well as slow hop bittering... A great Canadian Vienna true to style and infinately drinkable. Absolutely no technical flaws. Bravo to the brewer for recreating this elegant, subtle and increasingly uncommon lager style!

Another solid beer from Dave. Bottle poured out amber with a very thin white head. The taste is very enjoyable, biscuity malt with some caramel sweetness. No real bitterness, but the finish is refreshing thanks to the carbonation.
