A friend that interned at the Lion Brewery said that this was the same exact recipe as Lionshead...and I love Lionshead. This tasted like a slightly lesser version of lionshead. ndfreak77 (76), USA

It has a nice deep gold color and works a fine head. The aroma makes well with the hop flavors. No complaints! DocLock (4648), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 15, 2007 Thanks to Dickinsonbeer for this via Mystery Swap 2.0. Medium gold pour with minimal white head that fades quickly. Aroma of pale grainy malt, slight hopcitrus and honey. Fairly good palate heft and complexity, that had mid-palate apricots soaked in high fructose corn syrup flavors, plus finishing hopcitrus, and a decent pale malt taste throughout. No off flavors or aromas noted. Not bad for a pale lager. iowaherkeye (1858), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Mar 9, 2007 Bonus from Dickinsonbeer, thanks Paul! Pours a clear pale golden with a quickly fading one finger white head. Aroma of grain with hints of honey and grassy hops. Flavor has some sweet malts and is even a slight bit buttery. There is a little bit of grass, paper, and grain as well, but nothing offensive. Semidry finish, minimal bitterness. Moderate carbonation with a thin body, but that seems pretty average for a pale lager. Not bad for a pale lager, which isn’t necessarily saying too much. The label kinda makes me laugh though. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Mar 8, 2007 12 oz bottle via Dickinsonbeer (thanks!). Pours a clear golden blonde with a tiny white head. Not much in the nose here, some toasted grains perhaps and some English hops. Taste is not bad, actually tastes like a lager instead of a pale ale. Is pretty sweet, with lots of caramel, some toasted grains, and some earthy/grassy hops in the finish. Light body. moderate carbonation. A nice refreshing backyard lawn mower type beer....hmm now that i have posted the rating, i see this is a lager. yet the label on the bottle says Ale...it tasts like a lager, so assume that is correct. As a Pale LAger, it is actually pretty good. Much better than any of the BMC stuff out there... badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Dec 4, 2006 Thanks Goldtwins, I think... Clear yellow color with a decent head that rapidly falls apart. Dry honey aroma. Kind of a metallic taste with some muddled grains in the background. Not nearly as bad as what I thought it would be. Prcaus (159), New Jersey, USA

Its middle road all the way with slight hops, little bit of malt, and small hints of spices. Honestly, it was pretty good and really drinkable. Finished really well. I’d recommend trying it.
