Pours amber with a medium head that dissipates fairly quickly. Aroma is floral, but missing the mark from what I expect from an IPA. No hop punch. Flavor is piney, floral, and some mild citrus undertones. Hoppy finish. riversideAK (2792), Shoreline, Washington, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 8, 2008 Off amber color with a nice oily looking head. Aroma is very floral with notes of herb and mint. Flavor is toasty caramel malt with minty herbal , earthy hops in the finish. Not the most flavorful IPA, but it was drinkable. | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Feb 28, 2008 ~Pours a nice amber colour with a creamy off white- yellowish head. Good lacing. ~ Has a nice hop scent. A bit faint, but nice smelling. ~Balanced amount of grassy hops. Hops definetly present, but not too overpowering.
~Palate is creamy and smooth. Bitter hop aftertaste quickly dissappears.
~ This is a very well balanced beer. Not much of a "wow" factor but its extremely easy to drink. Definetly one I’ll have to get again. kenb (1100), Oregon, USA

Stoked about trying this as i love wet-hopped beers done right...Butte Creek is very hit or miss though..so let’s see. Pours a semi-clear copper with a small beige head. Nose is herbal/earthy hops with yeasty phenols. Taste starts with some crystal malt, some toastiness, then some ginger, and some spicy/woody hoppiness. Body is medium, carbonation is medium. Not bad, but not the wonderful floral aromatic hoppiness that i expect from a good wet-hopped beer. More like a decent Amber Ale... ChainGangGuy (2613), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Feb 22, 2008 Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, dark amber body with a small, off-white head.
Smell: Citrusy, herbal hop aroma with a bit of maltiness and a quick whiff of wet dog.
Taste: Mild caramel malt flavor with a little sweetness shining through. Hint of sweaty grapefruits served over a bed of herbs. Medium bitterness. Finishes bittersweet.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: It’s not so bad, I guess, though I did consider it a pale ale until I got a closer look at the front label. Ibrew2or3 (2766), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 21, 2008 Bomber courtesy of Degarth. Pours orange-ish copper clear with tan head and decent lacing. Pretty big aroma initially but hard to pin down the type of hops. Seems to be pine hops mixed with roasty malts. Soon I notice some green hops mixed with pine hops and lightly roasted maltiness. The taste is very similar to the nose with pine hop bitterness and a bolt of green/wet like hops as well along with sweeter lightly roasted malts leaning into caramel. The malts also seem roasty and toasty in a mild sweet maltiness sort of way. The hop bitterness stays even into the finish. Pretty darn tasty without any of the standard organic stale malt influence that I’ve come accustom to associating with organic type beers. Maybe all the hops cover up or limit the staleness. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Copper amber pour with an off white head. Pretty average in size and retention. A nice attempt at lacing is made. Nose is caramel/toffee malts, citrus hops, pine cones, citrus fruits and some grassy tones. Flavor is similar, heavy on the malts as opposed to the hops, definitely a malt forward IPA, and a nice change of pace. Some perfumey/floral notes build up on the back end. Medium bodied, slightly slick and oily mouthfeel. Finish is caramel malts, citrus hops, then floral notes and oranges end things up. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Feb 18, 2008 Amber colored beer with a huge white head. Lots of lacing. Some piney hops and cardboard in the aroma. Very stale tasting. Surprisingly malty. Just an afterthought of piney bitterness at the finish. A failure.
