Dec 28, 2007 Clear amber body with a large white head - lasting, nice lace. The nose is floral, herbal and moderately sweet with caramel, cotton candy, citrus and cat. The flavor is moderately sweet, moderately bitter with lots of caramel, tea, cookie dough, grapefruit and tangerine. Medium body is chewy with moderate carbonation.

Dec 18, 2007 22oz via trade. Strange brew. Decent looking, fairly hefty body, but man I am not getting any fresh hop juiciness from this at all. Instead, there’s an intense nutty flavor that’s not unpleasant, but very different from what I was expecting. Slightly too thin in the palate. Decent beer overall.

Dec 17, 2007 Updated: Feb 7, 2008Draught at Rogue, San Francisco. Clear brown, minimal head. Aroma of hay and orange. Sweet with clean cookie malt character under a thin curtain of resiny orangey hops. Finishes with medium bitterness. A straightforward, quite hoppy ale with simple malt character.

Dec 16, 2007 A dark amber apperance. Some caramel and lemons can be detected in the aroma. This one is rather malty for an IPA. A lot of caramel showing through overriding an citrus flavors. The palate was slightly thin. Overall nothing very impressive but ok.

Dec 15, 2007 Pours a transparent orange copper with a small, frothy light tan head. Aroma of earthy grainy pale malt and some soapy piny hops. Body starts lightly sweet and grainy with some mild grapefruity flavor hops toward a slightly more bitter finish. Needs some bigger fresher hop notes, but still a decent IPA.

Dec 13, 2007 Draft at O’Brien’s. Called Sustainable Harvest. Aromas were sweet, with a sweet start on the flavor. Finished much greener with pine. Not bad.

Dec 11, 2007 draft: darker amber, some lacing and retention. Aroma is citrusy and grapefruity hops, somewhat fresh feel but aroma comes off muddled. Medium bodied, bittersweet finish. Not enough hop flavor.
