Notes of pepper and maybe some rye, perhaps. Finshes breasy, toasty. Maybe. Kind of difficult to get much out of this one. Gusler (2655), Tucson, Arizona, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Nov 21, 2001 Gold in color, white head is average, lace is adequate. Nose is malt, the middle sweet, the finish is clean and hop spicy, and also a bit dry. A clean and crisp beer that is quite a treat as I’m not normally crazy about Blonde or pale beers although there are exceptions. Butte Creek is a fantastic brewery, and if you get a chance, try most any of their beers, you will be happy you did. Aurelius (2652), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Mar 11, 2003 Decent colour, not better than any other APA i've ever had...fairly light in colour compared to those. Decent taste, but not much of an APA...more of a normal ale. Drew (2409), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 11, 2002 I got some apple in the malts, but that was quickly destroyed by the one note bitterness of the hops. This was good with pizza. Alone, it would get on my nerves. TAR (2093), Boulder Co., Colorado, USA

If I like a blonde ale it must be masterfully done. This achieves a great malt aroma, middle bite and a rounded, soft, dry smoothness in the finish. I could find myself drinking this in the summer regularly; that is if it was available here. The best Blonde I have had. Thanks to Gusler for shipping this to my side door!! | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2003 Appearance is a cloudy yellow with little head but good lacing. Aroma is citrusy mainly oranges. Flavor is slightly hoppy with some grapefruit and oranges present. Light bodied. Decent for a summer beer but it doesn't hold a candle to many APA's Ive had. 21iceman40 (1731), vienna, West Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 24, 2002 Seemed a little heavy on the hops. I really didn’t think it was all that great. It should be bronze all or fourth place ale, cause it is not worthy of a gold.
