The appearance is gold-amber with a medium sized head. The flavor is like the aroma with a little coffee and astringent bitterness. The palate is average for an amber. The aftertaste has burnt malt and soap elements. Overall I like it but don’t love it. bb (2930), Martinez, California, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Sep 5, 2006 Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Caramel malt and slight grain aroma. Slight citrus/grass flavor with some graininess. Lilngering grain. It’s not a cheap grain sense, but it’s still too much for me. shrubber85 (2981), Wallhalben, Germany

| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 28, 2006 A light amber pour with an aroma kinda like fresh baled hay when you break it apart. A decent maltiness with a bitter that at first I didn’t like but it sorta grew on me. I’m not 100% sure its hops. Not one of my favorites to say the least, but not terrible. | 0.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 1/10 | 3/5 | 1/10 | 1/5 | 1/20 | Jun 28, 2006 Attractive ochre, very thin white head. No carbonation. Smells like sweet barley mash, stale marshmellows, soap, horse urine, and faintly of mangoes. Very minerally with soap again, cheesy wet dog, plastic, and a touch of sweetness. Buttery, greasy mouthfeel. Finishes dry and decently bitter. Overwhelming grassy, burlap, mildew, and ashtray aftertaste. OMG, this is disgusting ! You ever accidentally swallow a fly, and can’t stop gagging? One is too high a score for flavor. It tastes like the ending of Pink Flamingos in my mouth. Please, kill me!
