| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 1, 2005 Hazy amber color, small tanish head that had a short hang time then faded to leave little behind. The aroma was malty and sort of sweet with some mild citrus and hops. The flavor was nicely malty a sligth sweetness in the beginning with it changeing to more malt some fruit and hops finishing up in the end but only mildly. It’s up there with the best of them in this style but it’s decent enough to have a few in a sitting. aracauna (2391), Georgia, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Hazy medium amber with a small head despite a vigorous pour. The aroma is lightly malty with a slightly floral hoppiness. The flavor is really a pretty balance malt and hop blend. A decent session beer. ruggedman (619), Portland, Maine, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Aug 16, 2005 Malt dominated smell and taste really here. Watery like Butte’s other beers i’ve tried. Not particularly good. Metallic taste reminds me of a similar brewer here in Maine that i’ve toured that doesn’t quite have their things together. Butte needs to clean their beers up a bit before I try another one. SpudClampDawg (1027), Jasper, Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 30, 2005 Pours, smells and tastes more like a lager than an amber ale to me. The body is copper with little head. Sweet malts dominate the aroma, with some lingering hop notes adding a hint of citrus. The body is fairly one dimensional, focusing strongly on the malts, which are good, but simplistic. Just OK. AlchemistZ (493), Richmond, Virginia, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 24, 2005 An intense bronze color. A rich malt and fruit nose. Flavor is drinkable and highly compatable with most foods. There is a lot of viscosity in this beer with a light sweetness and a somewhat malt-dry finish. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Pours hazy dark straw with big off-white head. Hopcit and fruit aromas. Tastes hoppy, with some sour fruit and a metallic element as it warms. Decent, but not great. SDbruboy (1832), San Diego, California, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 7, 2005 Bottle. Pours slightly hazy amber with a large off-white head that settled quickly. Very mild aroma of light fruity malts, floral hops and a strange tinny-metallic scent. Flavor is momentarily sweet on the palate, then becomes quite tart - lemon and sour peach - some citrus hoppiness and a strong astringent-metallic finish. Medium body and light carbonation. Not so good...
