The commercial description suffices, so I won’t elaborate. Butte Creek is a great little brewery. Friendly folks abound. My tour was after hours and provided by the brewery’s accountant. A great guy. The organic theme is interesting. The water used isn’t flourinated and even the pesticides used within the brewery are certified organic. Beat that!!! Oh, did I mention that they brew very very good beers? joet (1709), Fulton, California, USA

Very, very nice California ale packed with aromatic hoppiness. A bit sweet in the nose as well with less than expected residual sugar. A bit on the thin side but overall a very good beer. philbertk (79), Seattle, Washington, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 12, 2004 Lightly hazy amber color with sticky head and lacing. The aroma is moderately hoppy with lots of caramel malt nose. The hops are musky and the malts sweet. The flavor is well balanced and this is actually a pretty tasty amber. Finishes wet and quenching, slightly dry as well, medium-bodied. I don't know how you can tell from organic or not, but I know this is a good beer. Uriel (144), San Jose, California, USA

Gorgeous color, unique sugary nose (I love it, others will be apalled), good hop/malt mix, sweetness through the early part of the taste, supplanted by slightly sour/bitter but interesting aftertaste. I get some herbal notes also -- oregano? Very interesting beer, will try it again. groovinhigh (170), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

My impression of the Organic Ale is that of a mild Harpoon IPA. Good, but not great... I will drink it because of the organic ingrediants!! They deserve our support!!
