| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 3, 2007 Had this beer out of a bottle tonight and thought it was really average. All the flavor seems to be up front and then dies. Not very hoppy, but does have a different taste from most IPAs Derek881 (495), Frederick, Maryland, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 2, 2007 Poured from a large-sized bottle I bot in a grocery store in Hawaii. A moderately cloudy orange-amber color with a small, bubbly, white head with short retention. A big nose, mostly floral and herbal, with some maltyness and some grainy/earthy hops. The taste was a combination of sourness and heavy bitterness with a touch of candyish sweetness too. The beer was very briefly wet initially, but mostly dry throughout and aftewards. Aggressive bubbles at the finish, but mostly smooth while in hte mouth. The texture was also somewhat oily, and the beer had low to average carbonation. Sammy (4013), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Jun 30, 2007 Incredible foaming power, leaving a mountain of foam in my glass. Significant C hop tangerine aroma combined with some mustiness there. Starts with soft mouthfeel followed by acid and high carbonation. Overall a drinkable beer, although mediocre IPA. doubelknv3 (568), Illinois, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 20, 2007 Big caramel accented malt aroma with lighter hop tones that lean towards citrus. The body is a cloudy amber/orange and holds a diminishing, thumb thick, white head. Fairly hoppy fore has a lot of pine, medicinal and herbal bitterness. I was expecting a lot more malt flavor based on the aroma, but it is oddly subdued though still very caramel accented. The alcohol is fairly biting and you taste all 7.1% of it. I confess to thinking that the low score might be because it wasn’t hop forward enough (which I think was the case with the Revolution X from Butte Creek) but this is pretty hop forward it’s just that it is a pretty average beer overall. A little thin and the only massive flavor concentrations are hops followed by alcohol. Very herbal/,edicinal int he finish with mild black pepper notes. SuzyGreenberg (1368), Seattle, Washington, USA
