Dark orange in color, this medium bodied brew throws up a long lasting off-white creamy head.
The aroma is malt dominated with some citrus hops coming through.
The balance stays to the bitter side from start to finish, which makes this somewhat one dimensional. Indra (2036), Prairie Village, Kansas, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 10, 2006 12oz. bottle. Highly citric and fruity hop aroma with plenty of juicy grapefruit and lighter amounts of orange, toasty pale malt sweetness, faint pine and just the slightest touch of yeast in the background. Light-medium copper color, lightly hazy, with a slight, fading head. Flavor is sweet and malty to start, lighter notes of honey and caramel becoming apparent, thereafter infused with increasing amounts of fruity and resinous hops, seemingly fairly fresh, bitter and cleansing on the palate, which is somewhat oily and finishes with a blend of husky and biscuity malt accents and piney, flowery hop notes. Medium bodied. Actually pretty decent, likely to be one of the best this brewery offers. nick76 (2684), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 9, 2006 The aroma is herbal and citrus hops with toasted malt. The appearance is light amber with a small head. The flavor has cereal grains and bitter hops. The palate is thin and it has a slight vegetal and hops aftertaste. This is an OK beer. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Mar 3, 2006 Bottle pours a slightly hazy light orange. Very large frothy slightly off-white head. Clumpy sticky coarse lacing from the receding behemoth. Aroma is like an old barn. Some sour woody notes. Hops are evident but not prominant. Flavor is sharp and hoppy but a harsh bittness with little flavor. Fairly full palette but that woody cardboard things keeps coming back. Another dissapointing IPA. Where is my Stone or Diamond Knot when I need them.... Cable (286), SE, Oklahoma, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 3, 2006 Sampled from bottle. Pours clear amber-copper with a thin white head and intricate lacing. Aroma is nice & hoppy (floral/citrus). Flavor is fairly bitter with a mild hop flavor assition (for the style). Some bready/toasted malts are in the mix too. Medium-bodied and moderately carbonated. An easy-drinking, simple, IPA. I’d buy it again. tjthresh (1779), Greenfield, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Mar 1, 2006 This IPA seems to fall on the English side of the house. Pours a light copper orange with a nice egg shell white head of foam. The head clings nicely to my glass. Malt carries both the flavor and aroma, but it finishes with a decent about of bitterness.....Well, my pint has warmed a touch and the hops have become more apparent. Some evergreen to go with the sweet malt. Fuller body. Easy drinking. oldrtybastrd (1823), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Feb 23, 2006 Bronze color with a taller light canvas colored head. Citrus cookies are baking while a rubber band left on the stove top is scorched when the burner is mistakenly turned on. Some grapefruit and from the garbage disposal also joins the fray. Lightly toasted malt with a mild citric hop flavor circulate in the mouth. Some mild licorice also dances about. No real meshing of flavors, just a disjointed gathering of IPA flavors. I’ve never been much of a dancer.
