Very tasty, bitter yes but not overwhelmingly so. Well balanced, nice malt flavor up front, a biting hoppy middle. A very good IPA. One of the better CA brews I’ve had this trip. This smells of fried eggs and oranges. The taste is fairly bitter toffee. There is also a strange burnt bacon note. The body is medium with plenty of carbonation. An unbalanced and weird beer. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 26, 2005 Pours a somewhat opaque reddish/orange color. Sweet floral aroma. Mildly hoppy. Flavor is fairly malty up front. Hops do kick in midway through and give a bit of a bitter kick towards the finish. Very smooth, easy drinking IPA. Good little kick as well with the 7.1%. No alcohol present in the flavor though.
