Earthy vegetable, grain, citrus, molasses and oak aromas. Flavors are similar with some light citrus and resin. Medium body is smooth and dry. A bit underrated because it’s not your typical West Coast citrus-hop flavored bomb; more an earthy British-style IPA. AgentSteve (1375), SF Bay Area, California, USA
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Sep 5, 2008 Pours a medium copper with thin off white head. The nose and flavor are dish soapy and cardboard. Really not good. carruthm (1137), Seattle, Washington, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Sep 1, 2008 sampled from 22oz bottle. Pour a clear yellow with a measurable head. Aroma and taste of a standard IPA though a bit watery. Skyview (4055), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 28, 2008 Sampled from 12-oz bottle and shared by Badgerben. Pours a clear golden amber brew with an average off-white head that has some nice retention and lacing. Aroma of roasted biscuit malt, a touch of grapefruit and citrus zest, some honey and toffee. Taste is medium bodied, plenty of carbonation with flavors of caramel malt, citrus zest, some lemon, iced tea and a touch of honey. Finish is a little chalky with a mild citrus aftertaste. Nothing out of the ordinary but closer to an American Pale Ale than an IPA caliper brew. moelikebeer (220), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 26, 2008 Bottle. Clear amber pour with a decent head. Aroma of strong herbal hops and malt. Similar flavor with a very bitter finish. Beerlando (2334), Orlando, Florida, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Aug 24, 2008 Updated: Aug 25, 2008Pours a hazy, dark orange-amber color with a fleeting, creamy, off-white head. Thick, sticky patches of oragnic looking lace mark the glass. Aromas are strange, showing citrus hops, scorched honey, stale caramel, toffee and butter. The flavor follows suit, with a weird mix of bitter citrus hops and stale, grainy, caramel malts with a downright odd note of burnt honey. The mouthfeel is substantial, but overly sweet and cloying. If I had to sum this up in one word, it would be "odd". This isn’t something I’ll be revisiting any time soon, if ever. michael-pollack (2688), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
