| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 16, 2008 [Bottle] Pours dark orange with a decent beige head. Aroma is really sweet caramel--much more present than the piney hops that are surprisingly subdued. Taste is more hoppy, with a fair amount of bitterness and pine pushing the caramel malt into the background. Decent mouthfeel with a long, albeit not particularly pleasant, finish that is a mix of malt and hop bitterness (this is where the most bitterness was). Not a real impressive IPA, but it wasn’t awful. blklab2007 (978), Connecticut, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 14, 2008 bottle poured a golden amber color with a one finger white head that left a creamy dollop on the surface. aroma has resinous pine hops, thick caramel malt, bitterness, and faint citrus. mouth feel is medium light with lighter carbonation. flavor has a well rounded hop and malt combination not leaning to one side or the other. resinous pines and bitterness, bit of minerals, slight chewiness, and a touch of sweetness. finish is predominately resinous and bitter but a little thin. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 11, 2008 Clear golden coloured body with a thin white head. Aroma of fresh hops with a good malt presence, coupled with grapefruit and a bit of pine. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour shows serious hops, fresh malt and a little bit of a metallic twang. Aftertaste has a good malt backbone with some pungent alcohol and more of a hop flavour with a bitter hop finish. Overall, a good IPA, but not amazing. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased on 06-June-2008 from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan sampled on 09-August-2008. rustychiles (1060), Mesa, Arizona, USA

Flavor is hops, malt and a funky off taste that can best be described as some type of grain. Ughsmash (4077), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 25, 2008 Bottled. Poured clear, healthy medium orange with a thick, creamy cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up drier grapefruit, pine, and perfumey hoppage over orange and pale malt sweetness. The flavor had sweet bready pale malts at the core with a dry, somewhat stale feel rolling off the edges.. bitterness was moderate with pine and perfume leading the way.. finished bitter and somewhat refreshing. Medium-bodied with higher carbonation on the palate.. finished warm and drier. Decent brew. brianprentiss (475), Portland, Oregon, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 10, 2008 this company’s pale ale has better ratings than their ipa, that’s strange. but not when you’ve had this ipa, sort of a strange tasting, not satisfying beer.
