(Draught at Glenfiddich Warehouse 68, Stockholm, 16 Oct 2009) Amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with grainy malt, grapefruit, citrus peel and hints of pine needles. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of grainy malt, grapefruit and citrus peel. Medium body. Refreshing and well balanced beer, dry with a generous hoppy bitterness. Very nice.

Bottle, 355ml - Clear orange amber beer with a small head. Aroma is malty with notes with notes of fruits, yeast and some sourish hops. Flavor is malty with notes of black tea, fruits and hops. Refreshing and easy to drink.

Draught@SBWF2009. Amber colour, small head. Aroma is fruity, wooden, mildly herbal as well as some slight grassy notes. Flavour is wood, herbs, mild fruits and grass.

Dark amber color, steady white head. Sweaty, hoppy and grainy aroma. Sticky harsh flavor: grains, some hops, a bit alcohol and wood. Long harsh aftertaste.

Bottled at Stockholm Beer Festival. Clear dark amber, airy head. Sweaty hoppy nose. Salty and fruity, medium bodied with chewy crystal malt profile. Increasingly bitter finish. Good!

12oz bottle from BevMo. Spicy pine aroma with sweet underlying malts. Clear burnished copper colored body topped by a shy white head that recedes to a partial cover. Hop flavor is sharp with lightly toasty malts but bitterness is rather subdued. Medium light body is lightly astringent with medium carbonation.

Dumped into my Lost Coast glass that mysteriously found its way into my jacket pocket one terribly drunken night. Very nice looking hazy more-than-midrange-amber in colour, big chunky very light tan crown that leaves a giant mess of lacing. When cold, this has a less than exciting aroma - not really drawing me to it but after warming up it shows that it has a nice but average mix of fragrant hops (maybe orange but it’s weak) and English style malts, a bit of caramel and the warmer it gets, the more I keep picking up on something that reminds me of any one of hundreds of Chinese food plates. That smell finally vanishes and leaves one with a very nice soft smelling beer (quite warm now). The taste is a bit off as well but still decent enough to enjoy. There is a decent amount of soft mild caramel malts but those are quickly run over by the sharp, hard hops, crushing any malt enjoyment until you burp. Man, I should have drank this whole beer after letting it sit in my glass for 45 minuites because it is now very enjoyable - to little to late though. Very soft and medium bodied - a thick medium bodied one at that. There is a small amount of carbonation and the swish is quite pleasant. Ends with a sensory overload of high bitter hops with a hint of tasty fruit mixed in for good measure. Never really noticed that this was 5.7%. If you’ve ended up with this beer you probably could have picked a better APA. Totally forgettable but still drinkable.

"Dark honey brown body that was slightly hazy (I always enjoy “slightly hazy”) crown was a touch off white and had good ropy lacing. Aroma is a descent amount of hops with a massive malt presence, it’s somewhat chocolaty and has a very strange pool water like element that I can’t help but smell. Flavor is bitter tasty hops but the hops have no identifiable flavor, tons of rich earthy malts with a milk chocolate twist, the pool water started to come out in the flavor when it was warmer. Brew was drinkable and I have nothing really bad to say about it but I’ll most likely forget about this beer by the end of the week."
