Bottle. Pours gold with a white head. The aroma is grainy/straw with floral and grassy hoppy notes. The flavor is light but well balanced with a light bitter finish. Nice.

Pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow with a white fluffy head. Fresh grass and lemon aroma. Clean crisp taste of sweet pale malt, lemon zest and mild hop bitterness. Damn good pils!

Pours a very, very pale yellow with a nice fluffy white head with tons of carbonation. The aroma is mainly just mild grains and a hint of pale malts. There are some spices and hops in the background as well. The taste has a grassy hop kick up front with pale malts and some spices as well. The mouthfeel is crisp, clean with a bit of bitterness through the finish. This one was an average pilsener that was pretty drinkable.

12-oz bottle received via trade with zathrus13. Pours clear light yellow with an average, rocky, white head, mostly lasting with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (grain, meal), light hops (grass), average yeast (sweat) with notes of paper. Light bodied, sticky texture, lively carbonation, and a bitter finish. Average duration, light sweetness and acidity, moderate bitterness.

Bottle. Pours pale yellow, with a white head. Aroma is grain, malt, and hops. Flavor is grain and malt, with just a touch of hops. Body on the light side, but it’s nice and crisp. Thans to 5000 for this bottle.

12 oz. bottle from Whole Foods Charlottesville. Lemon yellow pour with a weak head. Fruity grain aroma. Very grassy and slightly earthy taste. Medium bodied.

Objectively speaking: Miles beyond average American take on a pilsner. Very competent. The 3.02 score is a joke. Far prefered to their 3.7 Imperial IPA.
I like: Splendid white head, fully lacing. Brilliant hazy golden. Perfect appearance.Very fresh and clean (bought a few weeks ago perhaps, but in New York state of all places, some other people must have gotten it as fresh!). Spicy, bright hop character, almost grassy, well-developped. Strong malt backbone with focused freshness, gently bready, hay-like. As clean as you could wish, yet with the delicate yeast influence of the good European renditions. Medium-full bodied, yet easily poundable, like the best examples. Hugely refreshing, minimally acidic. Growing, yet soft and pillowy bitterness. Dry finish. Crisp all the way through.
I dislike: Ample, but not very flavourful malts.

Clear gold with a quarter-inch white head. Grainy aroma of slightly sour yeast, malt and a dash of hops. Flavor is not bad for a pils: grassy and crisp with an earthy undertone. Slightly bitter finish. Not bad overall, but not great.
