I must have had this beer in absolutely perfect condition, given the low ratings. Amazing stuff. Overall, this was very light. Breezy, in fact. But the lemon and grass aroma and flavor it acheived through perfect hopping was just mind blowing to me. I loved it.

Hazy gold, fizzy rather than frothy. Tastes like saaz tea in a copper mug. I like it!!!

Objectively speaking: Miles beyond average American take on a pilsner. Very competent. The 3.02 score is a joke. Far prefered to their 3.7 Imperial IPA.
I like: Splendid white head, fully lacing. Brilliant hazy golden. Perfect appearance.Very fresh and clean (bought a few weeks ago perhaps, but in New York state of all places, some other people must have gotten it as fresh!). Spicy, bright hop character, almost grassy, well-developped. Strong malt backbone with focused freshness, gently bready, hay-like. As clean as you could wish, yet with the delicate yeast influence of the good European renditions. Medium-full bodied, yet easily poundable, like the best examples. Hugely refreshing, minimally acidic. Growing, yet soft and pillowy bitterness. Dry finish. Crisp all the way through.
I dislike: Ample, but not very flavourful malts.

very good beer! wonderfully pungent and proper aroma as soon as the cap is pulled. nice tip and end of palate flavors. strong and appropriate czech hop character. recessed german malt character balances the beer near perfection. cleanish finish is ok with me i enjoy the taste! nice and refreshing yet creamy. just a touch of recessed fruit, paired with rainwater cleaness and mouthfeel. there must be re-rates that will rate this beer higher.

One of the finest American pilsners available, this straw colored lager is brewed with choice German malts, and Czech hops. Lively head and frothy lacing is evident in this wonderful summer beer.

Bottle. Pours light yellow with a nice head and lots of lacing. A nice looking beer. Aroma is heady Saaz and marshmallow. Flavor is a bit on the sweet side with a mellow corn and fresh cut grass taste.

Bottle courtesy of CBA: Poured a golden color lager with a small white bubbly head with some minimal retention. Aroma of hops is quite dry with probably a lot of Saap hops in there. Taste is dominated by Saaz hops with a dry finish. Body is above average for the style with some medium carbonation. While this is an enjoyable beer, I thought it was slightly too hoppy for the style with some subtle notes of overcooked vegetable which I didn’t agree with.
