Bottle. Clear blackish-brown with a fading light tan head. Chocolate and roasted coffee aroma. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Chocolate and roasted malt flavor. A bit of husk and watery texture in the dry nicely bitter finish.

The good news is it’s organic (not totally sure what that does for a beer) The bad news is they must have used less ingredients because organic means expensive. Pours an opaque black into the glass with little head. Smells a little roasty. Taste is a quick roasty punch up front ending with a little hop kick. The taste that is there is fine, there just isn’t much too it. Watery and thin.

Bottle. Dark, with red undertones. Small , tan head producing some lacing. Very standard, ggod porter. Aroma of roasted sunflower. Decent balance of sweetness to bitterness & unexpected obvious hop flavors. Not complex, but certainly a good, drinkable beer.

This was a bad bottle. There was a porter in here trying to get out, but it was stuck in the background. It was drowned out by an abundance of carbonation (Bottle fizzed over crazily) and a sour taste unlike most I’ve encountered. Wasn’t phenols or fusels or anything like that. Nose was of yeast. Perhaps contaminated by a wild yeast strain. Need to rerate this.

Mild aroma, not much happening there. My pour was not very good from the tap, with the beer arriving without a head. There were traces of light tan foam atop a dark black liquid, but little to no carbonation. Maybe an older keg. The flavor was full of dark chocholate, a little coffee, a lot of bitterness and maybe a touch of licorice. There was no sweetness to be detected. This porter had a few layers, including a slight hop flavor at the tail end, but not a whole lot happening across the tongue. Overall, a drinkable porter but not a great one.

dark pour, oil slick, tan had, coffee tones. Chocolates, dark bitters, malts and mild hops. Semi watery, not clingy. some caramels. I wanted bigger, bolder, badness....anyone find it’s really easy to misspell words while typing in this little box?

Pours dark brown with foamy tan bubbles that left chocolatey tan lacing on the glass, looked through with a light behind it is a very dark ruby, aromas of roasted malt, sweetness, chocolate and coffee, taste is same as the aroma except the chocolate and coffee flavors are not as pronounced as the aromas and it has some sweetness-caramel on the tongue, has a medium mouth feel with a medium dry finish with lingering roast malt and coffee flavors bitterness, a nice tasting porter and easy to drink.

Mild cocoa and caramel in the nose with a touch of coffee. Slightly over roasted with some grain husk character. Very roasted finish.
