From bottle : Pours a very dark brown with a small offwhite head that dies but leaves nice lacing. Not much on aroma, i can hardly get anything, maybe a little chocolate? Taste is very porter-ey, roasted malts with chocolate and coffee. Medium body, a little thin for a good porter, not hops present at all. Very drinkable, but not memoriable.

I haven’t had a porter in a while and asked the bartender to bring me something dark from Butte and this is what i got. Pours a dark black with no light coming through. Tasted good with notes of chocolate and coffee neither outweighing the other. I’m interested to try another beer from this company.

A Sim rate (12oz bottle purchased from a deli in Brooklyn, but sipped out of a plastic cup in a hotel in Marshall, Texas): Chocolate, caramel aroma with a great cinnamon tinge. Smells like a snickerdoodle cookie; all cinnamon and sugar. Great brown/red colour with decent lacing... even in a plastic cup! Nice coffee flavour with a slight chocolate hit with a bitter and tart finish.

Dark mahogany brown, clear, thin tan cap. Chocolatey aroma prevails. Chocolate malt with a hint of pear juice sweetness and a bitter finish. Hard mouthfeel from too much carbonation. Not a bad porter.

Bottle poured a clear dark brown with a large lasting tan head. Aromas of chocolate, carmel, coffee and light vanilla. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of chocolate, roasted malt, light coffee and a hint of vanilla with a smooth semisweet finish.
