Sep 24, 2006 A deep red beer with a fluffy brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel, dusty hops, and hints of roasted malt. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol, wood, and roasted malt. A quite light porter.

Sep 24, 2006 Bottle. Pours dark amber with a small ivory colored head. The aroma is chocolatey with some licorice and maybe a waft of molasses. The flavor is dark chocolate with some caramel, a hint of coffee, and some mild general bitterness. The finish is sticky and slightly nutty, leaving bark in the aftertaste. Not bad.

Sep 7, 2006 Sweet chocolate seemed most prevelant in this porter — almost too sweet, like a thin sweet stout or watered down chocolate milk. Brown body, small head that disappeared quickly. Aroma was roasted malty with a hint of java and a hint of hops. The flavor was well to the sweet side with notes of chocolate and brown sugar. Some roasted malts and a slight bitterness in the aftertaste. Watery body.

Sep 6, 2006 A light and flavorful porter. Rich with roasted mocha flavors, and very easy to drink. Ruby in color, small head. Very good, very smooth and refreshing, particularly for a porter.

Aug 17, 2006 A pleasing, easy drinking and flavorful porter. Aroma rich with cookie, molasses, chocolate. Flavor dryer than the aroma preedicts, featuring dry cocoa and a touch of molasses. Soft mouthfeel, and light to medium weight. Purplish brown color.

Jul 30, 2006 Poured dark with a decent head, but the head was short lived . The taste was actually better than the aroma would have hinted. I got this from a health food store; I had not seen it in any local liquor/beer stores.
It was amazingly good, however I doubt I would make the extra effort to get it over some of my favorite porters or stouts. It is worth the try though
