Pours a brown color with a faint off white. Nice roasted malt aroma and flavor. Thin body and mouthfeel. Not much here but worth a try.

An aroma of light chocolate and a kind of bready aroma I’ve never gotten from a porter (not a bad aroma). A dark brown/amber pour with a nice dark tan head that fades quickly. A flavor of choclate and toasted malt. A nice bitter finish. With a slightly watery grainy palate. Not a bad beer but just little lacking.

rich roasted barley, coffee aroma. near opaque black with a thin film head. coffee, barley, chocolate flavor. the coffee flavor is harsh tasting. oversteeped? not well balanced. lightly sweet. a little too thin bodied.

Bottled. Poured a medium/deep garnet with an explosive cap of creamy head... looked very nice when it finally settled down. Nose was a bit tart overall.. seeming to have some lactose sugars in there... almost burnt darker chocolate, cocoa, and coffee malts were in there, too. Flavor had a lot of gritty roasted coffee and cocoa going for it along with a milky sweetness. Bitterness was mild and almost woodsy. Solid, yet certainly not groundbreaking.

Sampled at Old Dominion Brewfest ’06. Dark clear brown with ruby edges. Very nice mocha, roasty aroma. Bold and flavorful with notes of dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee and mocha. Nice level of caramel sweetness. Good bitterness supplied by the hops and roastiness ; slightly burnt aftertasted. Medium modied with a smooth texture and moderate carbonation. Well done.

Deep, dark red, nearly black. Sediment on the bottom. Roasty, chocolately aroma with some lactose sweetness. Taste is roasty, milk chocolate, mild bitterness. Lingering sweetness as well as some roastiness at the end.

[Tap - North American Organic Brewers Festival] A deep dark brown color with a light coffee and tofee aroma. Liked the flavoring. Could have been a tad stronger. Felt it was a tad watery as a brew. This could have had more malt character and flavor for a truly good porter.

Deep coffee and roasted malt flavor. Also a bit of chocolate, bittersweetness, and nuttiness. Fairly full bodied flavor present with a nice clean and dry finish.
