Nutty, chocolate aroma. Dark brown body with small head. Falvors mix togehter very well. Ends with a light Bitter, hop and fruit taste. Almost a Porter-brown ale hybrid.

Dark brown with an off white head. Aroma is kind of grainy, with some light fruit and coffee notes. A little watery, some coffee flavors, a hint of plum. Not very impressive.

This was a fantastic beer, marred by a single fault. It poured with way too much carbonation (it wasn’t just me either, my bro-in-law had the same problem with it). Even when poured carefully, I was left with about 2 inches of head. The head lingered, becoming rocky looking and creamy, until it resembled a rootbeer float!! On the plus side, the aromas were fantastic, and the flavor was outstanding...toasted/burnt malt, not too sweet, nicely complex aftertaste...but too fizzy. I’d like to try it again; perhaps it was a bad batch.

Very dark brown with a light brown head that faded quickly. Sweet yeasty & cereal aroma. Medium palate with a watery dry texture. Burnt malt flavor with a very slight hint of chocolate. The finish is almost metallic. This isn’t my favorite porter.

If it were not for the almost total lack of carbonation (this beer’s one flaw), this would be a good porter to measure others against--it tastes exactly like what defines this style of beer. It could be more bitter, but it has very balanced flavour: rich malt, slightly roasted, with some hops in there too.

Big foamy tan head, with a dark brown body. Roasty aroma. Too much bitter and not enough roast.

This beer pours a very dark brown, almost black. There was pretty much no head or lace. The smell started out with a spicy aroma, middle was of dark chocolate, and a light malt aroma in the end. The taste started out with a coffee flavor, some roastedness, and a tart flavor from what seemed to be cranberry.I didn’t taste any hops. The mouthfeel is very light and watery. No carbonation present, but that was no surprise after not having a head when poured. I believe I would pass on this one again.
