Pours black/brown with a small, fizzy light brown head. Smells of sweet caramel, toffee, and mild roast. Sweet smelling. The flavor is of graham crackers, licorice, and caramel malt. Tastes a bit organic, if that has a taste, but overall drinks pretty nice. medium-bodied, but pretty full on flavor. Not bad, better than I was expecting actually.

Bottle. Slightly sweet, slightly sour aroma, woody with caramel, dust, yeast, toffee, and strong toast and roast. Dark brown (black) pour with a short light brown head. Taste is crisp and dry, toasty and roasty with very faint sugar cane, faint bitter licorice. Nuts with a touch of ash. Chocolate with a fluttering orange citrus. Very dry, earthy aftertaste, with subtle parfait fruitiness floating in the deep bg. Medium body. Very drinkable, balanced and fun!

12-oz. Pours black with a towering, fluffy tan head. Minimal lace. Cocoa, dust, and roast on the nose. Medium, creamy body, a bit on the dry side. Soft carb, not much of it, either. Cocoa, roast, and dust return for the mid-palate. Nice nutty graininess as well. I am a bit of a pushover for the nuttiness and fullness of these og beers, and this one has them in spades. A worthy little effort, if rather forgettable.

12oz Bottle pours out almost black with a little red topped with a tan head. A very nice aroma of wood roast malt. Tast of roast malt some bitter sweet chocolate. A light coffee tast also. Pretty good for a Organic brew.

Bottle... Poured black with redish highlights and NO head. Aroma of mocha coffee and toasted malt. Mostly contains coffee flavors which give way to almond and toffee and malt. Finished like ice coffee.

Dark brown pour with large tan head. Roasted malty aroma. Flavor was fairly well balanced, though not as strong as other porters. Not bad.

Tastey beer, pours a dark black colour with a fairly large tan head. A very clean creamy mouthfeel, full of coffee and earth. Aroma is slightly nutty, roasted malts and butterscotch. Taste is full and very filling.
