Bottle. Pours like a Coke with a quickly receding tan head. A bit watery, but good porter flavors here, albeit a bit heavy on the black patent malt.

12oz bottle: pours pitch black with good size off white head, aroma of roased and black malt, flavor of roased malt, almost tastes watered down for a porter, its not full bodied for sure and not picked up any hops as the description implies. wont buy again.

12oz bottle pours dark brown with weak tan head. The aroma is mild with roasty malts, stale dry cardboard organic grains and burnt malts. The taste, well its another organic brew. Most of these have an off stale nearly rotting cardboard flavor and this one is no exception. I get brief roasted malts before bold brash uncaring malt staleness swamps the senses. I can’t taste much else save faint burnt notes that do nothing to help matters. Not good.

Dark color. Smell of chocolate, malt, hops, roasted coffee and minor brown sugar. Tastes very weak. I can taste the chocolate, hops, coffee and malt. Smooth beer but it smells better than it tastes.

Wow what a head this pours i had to pour it multiple times before the head actually faded enough for me to get a good sip. The color is dark clear nut brown with massive suds along the sides of the glass. The nose has some nice roasty smells with some hints of mocha. The flavor initially is loaded with carbonation and earth tones. Veryy bitter and sweet with a nice swetness that is sugary with some creamyness. The finish is a bit tart with some roasted malt on the back of your palate.

Pours black coca-cola colour, minimal and fading mocha head. Some roast in nose. Bittersweet with emphasis on a sugary sweetness in the finish. Otherwise a fine-drinking porter.

12oz bottle. Pours a very dark brown with little light passing through. Thin white head. Some earthy grains in the aroma, but mostly chocolate. Lots of chocolate in the nose. A very honest Porter flavor. Nice toasted grains, some coffee flavors as well. A medium hop bitterness in the finish. Medium creaminess. Very true to the style. This has been my favorite offering from Butte Creek so far. And as an Organic Beer goes, It has been true to style, and lacks the gross earthy soil taste. Not sure why this beer does not score higher with other raters.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep brown with some woody amber highlights and a thin head- and spotty lace. Aroma is kinda wierd and not luring me to take a sip- at first is vegetal, some celery stalk, wierd burnt nuts and some soggy wet remains of a campfire, but then I get a unique dull ash from some weed smoke- also yeasty and dirty. Flavor is initially very grainy, corny, somehow similar to an off extract twang as if this was a novice homebrew attempt- some milkiness and lactic- lactose and artificial sweetness- dry roastiness with a ctiric and lactic finish but also dry and acrid. This is a very wierd bad beer. I didnt really get into it.
