There was chocolate and coffee in the nose and taste, I thought this porter was over carbonated, naking it seem more like an ice cream soda rather than a beer. For me it was just an expensive, average porter. Nothing really special here for me.

Very carbonated, and foamy. This is not the type of porter that I like to see. The black color is decent, but the head looks like trash. I was not impressed with the way that the beer poured. I am getting a funky hop aroma coming off of the beer. The sweet malt flavor is just not in the aroma. The beer is quite aromatic, but not to the point where all of the aromas are equally represented. The sweet is there, but you really have to search for it. The flavor is very weak. The subtle sweet malty, and coffee aroma are there, but they are not as apparent due to the fact that this beer is way too carbonated. This beer is not as I would like it. The carbonation has killed this beer. The flavor is killed by the carbonation because when I drink the beer it instantly fizzes on my tongue. I won’t say this beer is bad, but it is not worth trying more than once. The malts are just destroyed by the damn carbon.

Bottle. Poured a medium black body with very thin head. Aroma is light, some chocolate and coffee with a mild hoppiness to it. Flavor is the same as above but very thin. On the plus side this is very smooth and drinkable but lacking flavor.

New bottle label design from photo. I have to say I like it, more ’organic’ look to it. Dark brown brew, little head that leaves lace. Smells like light roast. Taste first hits you with a roasty chocolate. Smooth drink-ability, goes down nice and easy. Nice beer. Gets better as it warms up.

Pours dark brown with ruby hues when held to light. No head to speak of. Nose is very mild roasted aspects. If only it spoke a little louder, it might be extremely interesting. Flavor has a decent roasted edge to it, but there is a bit of a bitter tone that detracts. Feel has a kind of thin liquid aspect and the carbonation isn’t that high really. This is a very average porter. There isn’t much that is redeeming about it that I can give as a reason for you to try it. Definitely want to drink this one when it is not very cold.

Aroma of coffee, chocolate, brown sugar. Pours black with thick head. Smooth choco and coffee, earthy malt, some sweetness in the finish. An enjoyable pint.

Deep ruby brown with a small white head. Subtle roasted malt aroma. Flavor is a very thin roasted malt. Touch of chocolate. Bland finish. Meh.

Bottle. Clear blackish-brown with a fading light tan head. Chocolate and roasted coffee aroma. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. Chocolate and roasted malt flavor. A bit of husk and watery texture in the dry nicely bitter finish.
