The aroma is sweet with medium notes of grapefruit, malt, and herbs. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, hops, grapefruit, straw, and light notes of alcohol. The end is quite bitter and has notes of grapefruit, but the body is a bit on the thin side. rudolf (1774), Buffalo, New York, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 2, 2007 22 oz. bottle. Pours a hazy copper with minimal head. Great aroma of fresh malt with a subdued hop bouquet. Taste is of sweet malt and a mild but good herbal hop flavor. Alcohol is very well hidden. A little under hopped but still a great IIPA. 00cobraR (1098), Greensboro, North Carolina, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Hands down the best labled organic beer that i have ever had. Pours out a deep amber color with a nice beige head. aroma is slightly malty with big hops. Flavor was alot more mellow than i anticipated. Not nearly as hoppy as i expected. freekyp (900), Thomasville, North Carolina, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Feb 28, 2007 A thunderous whopping balst of hops emenate from this ckoudy tan brew, but its sweet malty caramel flavor does a great job of reigning in the ample hoppiness and creating an full flavored palate treat. Bitterness is strong and lingering with ample resiny character. The nose is piney and the brew leaves ample ragged lacing on the glass. High in alcohol and flavor and definitely not for the weak of heart, this brew still manages a nice balance and is well crafted and tart, leaving the taste buds yearning for more. Outstanding! ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 26, 2007 Bottle that Daniel brought out to drink. Orange colored pour with a white head. Smell was mostly hops with some orange and grapefruit notes. Taste was sweet and hoppy, with some nice bold elements brought in from the hops. Pretty refreshing too. I enjoyed this one, and I have wanted to try it for a while. Good stuff. rayg1 (438), Ft. Mill, South Carolina, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Bottle shared by Daniel (00cobraR). This beer pours a dark orange into the glass with a big head. Aroma is sweet but stong of hops. Taste is very fruity for an IIPA with grapefruit, and (lime?) comming to mind. Weird, I hadn’t tasted that much fruit sugar in a IIPA before, maybe because this one is organic. I thought this was kind of sweet for a IIPA not something that just ruined my tongue with hops and a rediculous pallate. Still good.
