Bottle shared by Daniel (00cobraR). This beer pours a dark orange into the glass with a big head. Aroma is sweet but stong of hops. Taste is very fruity for an IIPA with grapefruit, and (lime?) comming to mind. Weird, I hadn’t tasted that much fruit sugar in a IIPA before, maybe because this one is organic. I thought this was kind of sweet for a IIPA not something that just ruined my tongue with hops and a rediculous pallate. Still good.

(22oz bottle) Lightly hazy amber body with medium beige head. Aroma is medium sweet, herbal/grassy, some grapefruit, orange, caramel, light skunk. Taste is moderately sweet, grapefruit, pine, some caramel, orange. Medium-full body, some stickiness, some resin. Alcohol hardly noticeable.

Hazy orange with a small head. Fair lacing. Aroma of citrus and caramel. More subdued nose than you would expect. Tastes of grapefruit, pear, caramel and a bit of alcohol. Very balanced, not bitter. A very good brew.

Bottle from Odeed and served in my GI IPA Tulip: Pours pretty enough with a coppery glow and a heavy frothy off-white head. The aroma has notes of piney and peppery hops, syrupy caramel malt, pineapple and mango esters, and some mild phenols. The taste displays a resiny hop character with a sugary and crystal malt background. The finish develops a green tea and metallic note. The aftertaste has a bad phenolic reaction and is way to band-aid for me, the balance is off in this brew. A bonus is that the mouth feel is silky smooth upfront before an astringent quality appears on the finish.

While the flavors are there they are also muted and once again I was left feeling let down by an organic brew. Why is that these Organic beers lack depth or excitement? Also because the hops are not sharp the sweetness makes this beer more akin to a Strong Ale than a IIPA. I beginning to wonder if it is perhaps the house yeast or water from this brewery that makes me less than happy?

Red-blond with a small head. The aroma is exciting with litchi and cinnamon. Flavor is almost bland at first, but then there is a gentle rush of malt and butterscotch. Some hops in the finish. Mouthfeel is wonderful; the carbonation is soft and fuzzy. This one makes me feel happy.

Bottle from ... um ... secret santa, I think. Organic. Revolution. X. Imperial. Four buzzwords in the label. Maybe they can ink Shaun White to do some commercials. Big piney, yet sweet aroma. Nice. Mouthfeel is a little boozy, but not as hoppy as most IIPAs, not as dry either. I like it. To be honest, I was getting a little tired of clone imperialbarleywineIPAs out there. There’s something different about this one ... maybe it’s the organic part. Yeah, that’s it ... it’s the organic part. That seems to balance everything out. Not over the top. Nice.

surpisingly sweet aroma, apricoty, with a little pine coming up. flavor comes on w/ barley-wine sweetness & eventually the hops make their presence, an oddly active balance, like my tongue can’t decide, an X-treme edge.

Cloudy amber pour with a ring of white lace. Good aroma of resinous, piney hops. Strong flavor of resinous, piney hops with a decent malt backbone. The body is light to medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. While not as amazing as other IIPAs this one is still pretty good.
