| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 2, 2006 22 oz bomber. Deep amber beer with a thick pale tan head. Sticky lacing. Fresh fruity hop aroma, some sweet mango and grapefruit over a soft sweet malty base. Light-medium crystal malts sweetness with a touch of vanilla and pine resin behind the orange/grapefruit citrus. Flavour is quite hoppy in terms of flavour, but has farily low bitterness. I like the vanilla character in this brew, but I’d prefer a more bracing hop aroma. bitbucket (2034), Kirkland, Washington, USA

Aroma of fruit and grapefruit with just a smidge of gym sox. Medium body and light carbonation. Sweet pineapple and grapefruit taste with plenty of malt behind it. This is a tasty beer! | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 26, 2006 Bomber; Nose is hoppy with some caramel malt hints coming in; hazy copper with a small beige head; flavor a nice balance of citrusy hop bitterness and caramel malt sweetness in a medium body with a nice hop finish. i suspect some of the hops may have disappeared due to it’s release 7 months ago, but it is finely balanced now. sheatripper (863), Brooklyn, New York, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 19, 2006 2006 Bomber. Clear orange with a quickly diminishing tan head. Some thin lacing. Aroma of candy malt and bright orangey hops, with some apricot, cream cheese and chutney. Glass agitation produces a more pronounced cheesiness. Initial sweet malt flavor overrun by a high concentration of hops, citrusy and resiny in character, with a tree sap/woody finish and aftertaste. Nice lingering tooth-sticking hop oils. At first I thought it might be a little off-balanced on the hop side, but decided that was just nitpicking. The caramel/rock candy malts are clearly present, just more at the beginning of the sip. Overall a fairly good 2IPA hop showcase. Shag (1923), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 17, 2006 An amber color with a yeasty aroma with some brown sugar and oranges. The flavor is rather sweet with some alcohol showing through. A good bit of oranges and lemons in this one. It was ok but Ive had better Double IPAs. decaturstevo (1997), decatur, Tennessee, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Nov 16, 2006 A light amber pour with a large malty aroma with a medium hops kicker. A citrusy flavor of hops and malt flavor dominate, but a good alc warm is there as well. A smooth slick palate that is just a tad light on the body. A damn good beer. thanks to kp and goldtwins for this beer. scoobyluv (486), Chattanooga, Tennessee, USA
