redave (107), squaw valley, California, USA Aug 22, 2006 Nice! Grassy pine aroma, slightly sweet [as most dipa’s are]
Pours a orange amber [dark] color, nice cream/tan head, nice solid wall of lace on the way down!
man, did i say nice aroma?
hoo-hoo! hop bomb blast of a pine tree blast! some grapefruit.. mostly pine tree!
Nice hoppy bitter aftertaste. The label says it all "Go Big, or go Home!" This is one of the more up front bitter DIPA’s I’ve had, seems like DIPA’s are sometimes big all around, but not as sharp.
Alcohol is present, but OK.
I would buy this on a regular basis, and would love to try this on tap, or better still, on cask!
BeerFanDan17 (407), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Nov 20, 2008 Very tasty and spicy imperial IPA. Nice blend of hops and slight citrus. Light golden with a large frothy head. stchloe (240), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 29, 2008 Served only in glasses, and bitter as the day is long with organic hops; thats a bloody good DIPA. ucusty (1234), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Jul 15, 2008 Found this on sale. Amber pour over carbonated. Lots of floaters as well as suspended protein. Faded hop aroma, more on the piney side. Flavor is a little too sweet I have a feeling this was alot better fresh. Rciesla (1106), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jun 12, 2008 Bottle. Wow this bottle looks extreme. for $1.99 on close out bought a few bombers who wouldn’t. Pours an amber copper body with an light foamy head. Aroma is hoppy; pine, citrus, grapefruit and some etoh. Which is masked quite well in the flavor of this beer. Hops come through strong. Bang for your buck but nothing to special. BeerHawk (801), Murfreesboro, Tennessee, USA May 4, 2008 Bottle. Poured amber in the glass with nice looking, frothy off-white head that left big lacing. A great pine and grapefruit aroma backed with caramel malts. The flavor had a well defined caramel maltness backed with lots of hops. Mild bitterness throughout. Medium body. (Rating from June ’07)
