Minimal hops and malt flavor. slight bitter finish, but nothing you would come to expect for the style. Glouglouburp (2839), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 6, 2008 In short: A boring IIPA. Ripe citrus and not a whole lot more
How: Bottle 12oz from after4ever. Thanks a lot Tom! Czech Republic trip planning tasting session.
The look: Slightly cloudy golden body with a small off-white head.
In long: Aroma of ripe citrus. Taste is mainly ripe citrus, some orange pulps and spicy hops. Very little in the way of caramel or bitterness. Maltiness lack density and hops lack bite so in a way it is well balanced. Finish leaves a weird fruity spiciness sensation. If all revolutions where that successful, we’d be drinking tea and warm 4% beers in the States. TaktikMTL (2786), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada
(Rating #1445) MartinT (5055), Montreal, Quebec, Canada
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 3, 2008 My Bottom Line:
Saltiness tacks on to the piney, orangey hop personality while high levels of residual sugars proffer caramel and a hefty body. This is a drinkable Double IPA, but not one which I would have to quench my cravings for bold hoppiness.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam tops the cloudy amber.
-Hop aroma and finish are both undewhelming and muddled for the style.
-The overall flavor profile is rather balanced, but perhaps a tad incohesive.
-Alcohol is well hidden in the flavor profile.
-That salty hoppiness was not extremely pleasant.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Feb 1, 2008 Bomber pours hazy orange-ish copper with tan to off white head. The aroma is mild with some malts and a hodgepodge of hops and a hint of fruity esters. The taste begins with a mixture of grapefruit, tangelo, pine, mild floral, pineapple, orange peel and spice hops (it has it ALL!). There’s also a mild malt sweetness hanging around underneath. I really like the taste of this. I can sense the hint of organic stale grains common with organic brews but maybe the big flavor just drowns it in its own staleness. brewandbbq (269), Manchester, New Hampshire, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 24, 2008 Pours hazy gold with an orange hue.
A half-inch head of white rose up before receding to partial coverage on the surface. A modest amount of lacework lasted for the first few sips.
Aromatics are fruity with light malt.
Plenty of pear pulp, orange oil, and pine dew. A rather earthy funk is found as the beer warms under the fruit, akin to peppered cedar bark.
The nose finishes off with honey drizzled flower petals.
Aromatic and fresh, but not pungent or leaping out of the glass.
The mouthfeel is medium with a smidge of chewy resin.
The pallet is juicy, fruity, and light on the malt. Bitterness is smooth, and substantial enough to offset the honey-like undertones.
Dried apricots, more pears, and candied orange segments lend plenty of resinous satisfaction. Alcohol follows through with a lingering warmth.
Finishes with plenty of tropical fruit, light malt and bitterness.
Not the biggest, baddest IIPA, but damn tasty and plenty drinkable. This one seemed to be quite fresh.

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 19, 2008 22 oz bottle from Pizza Port’s bottle shop. Created an autumn colored orange with a firm development of foam for a head. The nose was a moderate serving of hops but overall a weak and almost unnoticeable scent to be detected. I found the flavor to be the same because of the mild usage of hops made me wonder if this was an IPA or double IPA? None the less it is well balanced and makes for a nice and pleasant drink but I was expecting for it to do more than just that. Next! Doon (90), Phoenix, Arizona, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jan 19, 2008 Found at Cit of Beer in SF for $5.99. Poured an golden amber color with a nice head that dissipated quickly. It smelled of hops, but not as strong as I was expecting. Not much else to say, other than by putting the word, "Organic" on the bottle I expected to taste somewhat off....which it did...still, it was nice and worth trying
