My tasting notes indicate I liked it, but it really didn’t make a huge impression. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 11, 2002 This beer is indeed an "Indian Red Ale". A super-hopped ale that’s pleasant enough. Thin body. I never have cared for Butte Creek beers all that much. Drew (2410), Kent, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Oct 10, 2002 well, first of all, it’s red! Some nice roasted malts, medium bodied up until the watery end. Strong fruity-sweet/sharp hop bite, like an IPA - nice, but a bit overwhelming for a pale ale. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Sep 5, 2002 A good version of a english Ale. Nice red color is followed by a strong but not overwhelming hop presence finishing in a nice bitter tang. Good overall beer. Jajoro (11), Redondo Beach, California, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Aug 19, 2002 Huge hop nose with a good maltiness to balance it out. Great dark amber color with a nice rich head. My only problem with this great beer was the lack of body in the flvor. I felt that the malty nose would have given me good body, but that did not happen. Overall though, it was a good drinking experience. hopscotch (5525), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 14, 2002 This beer rocks. The commercial description is accurate. I would like to add that if this were categorized correctly, it would be know as an I.R.A. (Indian Red Ale). A beautiful amber beer, with a very mild hint of the malts described. It bites like a I.P.A. Nicely unbalanced. Hey HOPHEADS, this red ale was brewed with you in mind.
