I would like to add that if this were categorized correctly, it would be know as an I.R.A. (Indian Red Ale). A beautiful amber beer, with a very mild hint of the malts described. It bites like a I.P.A. Nicely unbalanced. Hey HOPHEADS, this red ale was brewed with you in mind. beerguy101 (3946), Newark, California, USA

Sharp, olive oil like aroma with a cotton candy swwetness in the back end. Flavor has some candied sugar notes, some ripening vegetable notes. Some malty biscuity notes find theri way in there as well and finishes with a slight citrusy bent. Thick mouthfeel, but verging on cloyness. Odd for an English Pale Ale. austinpowers (2828), New York, New York, USA

But nonetheless entrenched with a richy goodness. Somewhat roasted and breadlike. Has a subtle fruitiness about it. Semi-burnt maltiness with a bitter hoppiness. Undeniably enjoyable. Chico kicks ASS. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA

A very nice subtle balance of dry hops roasty malts, just like the description says. I have not had that much experience with Butte Creek but look forward to trying more of their line.
