Commercial Description:
A full flavored, hoppy rendition of a traditional English ale. A sure delight for the most hop-headed of specialty beer connoisseurs. Imported roasted malts from Belgium are used to add to its deep red color. This ale is dry -hopped to add to it's rich aroma.

This beer rocks. The commercial description is accurate. I would like to add that if this were categorized correctly, it would be know as an I.R.A. (Indian Red Ale). A beautiful amber beer, with a very mild hint of the malts described. It bites like a I.P.A. Nicely unbalanced. Hey HOPHEADS, this red ale was brewed with you in mind.

Red color, medium head. Lightly malty hoppy ale. Finish is kind of weak and watery. Aftertaste is bitter.

Jax Beer and Wine - Atlanta, Ga - 12 oz. bottle. Medium copper pour, light, off white head. Sharp, olive oil like aroma with a cotton candy swwetness in the back end. Flavor has some candied sugar notes, some ripening vegetable notes. Some malty biscuity notes find theri way in there as well and finishes with a slight citrusy bent. Thick mouthfeel, but verging on cloyness. Odd for an English Pale Ale.

This beer is indeed an "Indian Red Ale". A super-hopped ale that’s pleasant enough. Thin body. I never have cared for Butte Creek beers all that much.

Rich like Bill Gates... well ok, not that rich. But nonetheless entrenched with a richy goodness. Somewhat roasted and breadlike. Has a subtle fruitiness about it. Semi-burnt maltiness with a bitter hoppiness. Undeniably enjoyable. Chico kicks ASS.

Very nice flavor here. I enjoyed this one alot and look forward to trying their IPA. A very nice subtle balance of dry hops roasty malts, just like the description says. I have not had that much experience with Butte Creek but look forward to trying more of their line.
