From bottle. Dark red-brown color that left a small creamy head and little lacing. Nose was strong roasted malts, with some hops and spices. Mouthfeel is rich and almost sticky. Flavor is of malts, chocolate, fruity, and mostly coffee. Finish a bit bitter. Overall a decent, but not outstanding brown.

Bottle from gift pack: Hazy dark brown with burgandy highlights when held up to light. Head is huge, frothy and tan. Aroma is malty with hints of spice. Flavor is nutty and fruity (plum) then peppery finishing lightly biter and dry. Medium bodied and watery with lively carbonation.

Deep malty aroma with some hop. Decent brown color and a quickly disappearing head. Starts with carbonation and some coffee/chocolate. Some sort of nutty aspect midway, and it smooths out impressively towards the finish. The end seems to be light coffee with noticeable hop. Subsequent sips seem to have a bit of light pluminess. Quite good.

Bottle. Poured clear dark brown with a frothy almond colored head. Dark bready malt aroma with a bit of molasses and nuts. Rich roasted hazelnut flavor with some burnt coffee and hoppy bitterness on the finish. Leaves an earthy burning-leaf hop aftertaste. Medium to full bodied mostly smooth palate. Interesting take on a holiday seasonal.

Botle from odeed I believe. Pours a clear dark brown with a massive head. Big bubbles. Some roasted maltiness and maybe a little nut flavor.

Bottle; Nose of spicy caramel with some maltiness; cherry brown with a medium beige head; flavor is spicy caramel with some cloves, kind of like some belgians, fading into a bitter hop finish. The hops become lighter as the brew warms.

Bottle. Molasses, chocolate and roasted coffee aroma. Opaque dark brown color with small head. Dark chocolate and smoky coffee malt flavor with a mild hops finish. A nice, full flavored brown ale.
