Dull brown colour, not much head. Chocolatey, peanutty aroma with charred notes. Lightish body, led by the charred malts with chocolate and nuts fading a little bit into the background. Off-dry finish.

Dark brown with a very light tan head. Smells like cherries and some dry oats. Impressive roasted malts, meaty smoke flavor and semi-gritty finish with an overlying cherry or sweet plum... better than I expected. Quite robust at times. Pasty sweet and dry malted milk ball finish. Sweet.

Dark mahogany, thin lacing & sticky head. Nose of pine resin & spent charcoal. Taste balanced & dry, a bit of both sweet & bitter slap you & run. Medium bodied, doughy finish. Decent winter beer. Plenty of smoke & light roast.

Pours burnt sienna with small, off-white head. Aromas of caramel malt, cacoa, brown sugar, hops, and cinnamon. The flavor is caramel malty and chocolatey up front, with some mid-palate brown sugar and spices. Medium to light palate.

Head is initially average sized, frothy, light brown, mostly diminishing. Body is dark brown. Aroma is lightly malty (roasted nuts, toasted bread), lightly hoppy (resin), with light notes of juniper, anise, and allspice. Flavor is lightly sweet, moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is moderately acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Blah, this needs a serious malt injection; very unbalanced in the flavor profile...far too attenuated. Ok aroma, but ultimately not worth wasting my liver and brain cells on.

Deep malty aroma with some hop. Decent brown color and a quickly disappearing head. Starts with carbonation and some coffee/chocolate. Some sort of nutty aspect midway, and it smooths out impressively towards the finish. The end seems to be light coffee with noticeable hop. Subsequent sips seem to have a bit of light pluminess. Quite good.
