Situation: celebrating a well-destroyed shower stall-die mold...
Glassware: Hoegaarden tumbler...
Appearance: dish foamy, bubbly white head thins to a line; cloudy, unfiltered golden orange body...
Aroma: slick lemony aroma; light clove qand almost orange citric hints--a bit light...
Palate: fizzy orange juice-like approach; effervescent on the tongue; very light bodied...
Taste: the lemon zest and orange citrus almost approximate a flattened Orange Crush; refreshing like soda, but just as gasseous and unsubstantial...
Overall: syrup-flavored weisse--and I hope I am not missing something, because these gents put together quite a fun website--that has a fin, gimmicky name but not as much of a presence or pleasure; too soft and undetailed, with the wheat malt lacking substance...

Nov 29, 2009 This doesn’t show the signs of infection that the Pork Slap did, but it is still very mediocre. There’s a little bit of clove esters hanging around in there, but it’s thin and uninspiring. These just aren’t looking to be very good beers.

Nov 10, 2009 Slightly hazy yellow-gold pour with a fast-fading white head. The nose is quite odd. A bit of banana but mixed with that is a fairly prominent hit of DMS. There is a touch of sourness as well as a strange rancidity. There is a bit of the typical bubble gum/yeasty flavour but it is clobbered by all the weird tartness and strange brewing flaws. Thin-bodied and not very good at all.

Oct 25, 2009 Nothing special from my POV. Pours a hazy yellow with a modest head. Nose of citrus and yeast. Flavor is mildly sweet with hints of lemon and honey. Crisp and somewhat refreshing, but very average as far as hefeweizens go.

Sep 23, 2009 Lemon wheat and baby food aroma with traces of bubble gum. Clear golden, thin head. Sour lemon flavor, again with bubble gum hints. Light wheat finish. Too sour, decent at first but kind of peters out. Not the greatest hefe, but it does have that ever elusive bubble gum I love so much.

Aug 26, 2009 Can from dkachur. Thanks dan for this want list brew via mÝstery swap. The aroma has notes of lemon, wheat, cereal, and light banana. Pours yellow gold, thin head, hazy with big bubbles. The flavor is straight up full of lemon followed by wheat, honey, cereal, and some faint banana. Large and zestu carb. Drinkable quenching. Its cool.

Aug 16, 2009 Saw farmhouse ale on the label and thought it might be a yeasty fruity beer, but found it to be a somewhat bland wheat beer. Meh. I wouldn’t be too sad if I never had this again, but in a pinch on a hot day it could work.
