Bockyhorsey (1915), Mesa, Arizona, USA Jul 15, 2008 Can courtesy of cbkschubert. Good banana aroma. Hazy yellow body with white head. Decent hefe tangy lemon flavor. Didn’t even need to be served with friuit. Good brew thanks Craig. Rciesla (712), Brick City, New Jersey, USA Jun 15, 2008 Can from oak tree. Pours a couldy hazy orange yellow body. Aroma is spices, bready, some cinnamon. Goes down easy sweet drinking. Guess it was a good start on the night. Better then drinking the king all night or not. Immy (1477), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Jun 5, 2008 12 oz can. Cloudy yellow gold with a yellow tinged head. Wheaty, lemony nose, a bit of clove and a hint of banana. Flavor is wheaty in a bready sort of way, lemon and light clove. Light bouncy body with decent carbonation. Doesn’t get bogged down like some others of the style. Finishes with a light citrus bitter nip. Better than expected. Linus_Stick (1471), Moon Township, Pennsylvania, USA May 11, 2008 Wow. They actually released this? Terrible hefe (if that’s what it’s trying to be). I kept telling myself "They are just making a wheat ale- it’s not supposed to be a hefe" over and over and now that I log on I see it’s a hefe. Not much aroma. Could pick up some hint of grain if really searching. Pour was a light gold with a 2 finger white head. Taste was way too sweet for a hefe. Pale malt, a hint of wheatiness and a thick mouthfeel. Medium carbonation and a sticky sweet aftertaste. Blah.
