Thanks to Grant for giving me this one. Rich red chestnut colour with a good beige head. Excellent wood and brett. Very fruity. On the nose it’s very much Flemish sour with fruit. Rich yet surprisingly light at the same time. The cranberries are rather subdued but still really tasty. Superb sour lemony finish. Really clean. Excellent beer. Thanks again Grant for a rare treat. Alround rating: Good solid lambic characteristics, good funk and correct yeastyness, only fault is there seems to be a bit too much bitterness off the tannins from the cranberry skins or wood. oh6gdx (8903), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is wood, some berries, semi-sour but also quite sweetish notes. Flavour is quite muvh the same, a rather wellbalanced fruit lambic. juiceisloose (671), Windermere, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 8, 2009 sample from 750ml bottle, courtesy miketd. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a small tan head that quickly fades away. Some lacing is left behind. The aroma shows notes of tart cranberries, dark fruits, oak, and some funky yeast characters. The flavors follow with mild tartness from the cranberries to go with the oak and some earthy undertones. Medium bodied with a lot of carbonation and a long, dry finish. Pretty good overall but could use more body and flavor. Guerde (708), Welcome, Minnesota, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 8, 2009 (bottle from tytoanderso, thanks Tyler!) Pours dark brown with a large off-white head. Aroma is not really sharp, but it’s mostly subdued and musty, with some light cranberry, and a bit of wood. The flavor is lightly tart and salty, but really there’s not much here. The cranberry is barely perceptible, and the flavors seem muddled and faint. No sharpness at all, and a bit of sweet malt. MatSciGuy (638), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 6, 2009 [Bottle] shared by Tyler. Pours a nice clear ruby with a medium beige head. Aroma is some tart berries, not necessarily cranberry, caramel, some funk, and some barrel. Flavor is slightly tart, some cranberry, and salty with a thin, oddly bitter aftertaste. imadeadguy (378), back in NJ!, New Jersey, USA

Pour is a really deep ruby/brown with a nice tan head. Aromas of tart cherries, sour funk, slight vinegar, and some flower. Flavor is very bland and watery. Not much going on except light sour and a hint of somekind of cherry/cranberry. Im really let down about this one. It sounds, smells, and looks much better than it is. tytoanderso (1387), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Mar 22, 2009 750ml bottle. 2008 vintage. Funky vinegar, foot and sock, peanut butter, wood and tart fruit skin on the nose. A tiny bit of wet dog. Very little cranberry. Pretty dark, ruby, brown with a sustained thin khaki head. Flavor is rather watery and wholly nondescript. Like a mildly sour brown. A hint of acetic acid. Little tartness. Minimal cranberry... Absolutely not a fruit lambic. Maybe it’s just palate fatigue and toward the end of the night, but this one just doesn’t do it for me. Bland, watery with a bit of barrel tannin toward the finish. Oh well. Thanks Jeff!
