Commercial Description:
A pale ale barrel aged for over 2 years in cabernet sauvignon soaked french oak. Midway through aging it was green hopped with our own hops. Finished in a flemish, farmhouse style. Very limited production! Great with hard cheese and marvelous with roasted beef.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Dark red amber in color with a decent sized off-white head. Aroma is of oak, cheese, a light tartness, butter and apple. Taste is slightly funky with wood, leather and a light fruitiness.

(750ml bottle) Pours a lightly hazy amber body with a small white head. Aroma of balsamic vinegar, oak, cheese, light horse blanket, grass, and florals. Flavor of subtle sourness, grass, biscuit, and earthiness.

Bottle shared on 10/25/08 by kramer: Pours a mostly transparent copper orange with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Nose of lightly sweet biscuity pale malts and assertive tart cherry character. Starts semi-sweet and lightly puckeringly tart before a crisp finish. Well-balanced and true to style. An enjoyable brew.

Thanks to either Mike or Brad for bringing this and sharing it with the people who showed up. I was not sure what to expect so with no expectations it had every chance to impress. In the end it did just that although being so limited this one will be hard for people to get their hands on so if you do thank your friend profusely.

Aroma / Appearance - A thin off white head and amber brown body revealed the origins of this as a pale ale. Sawdust, oak, vanilla, cherry crisp, and apricot blend fruitiness with farmhouse in a nice mix.

Flavor / Palate - Oak, sawdust, and white wine start the experience nicely. A malty finish dries out the throat. The alcohol is not evident at all. Funky and smooth this is a nice way to spend fifteen minutes.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a hazed amber body and a small white head. Aroma is sour with sweet funk and lightly buttery, vanilla, oak, fruit, berries, and wine. Taste is extremely tannic. Behind the tannins there is a medium tartness, berries, oak, yeast, cheese and tart currants. Light carbonation.

Bottle. Body-hazy dark honey/nicotine brown with a medium ring of bubbles. Nose-camembert cheese, butter, tannic, strawberry. Taste-bourbon, light clarified butter, dry, tannic. Dry and tannic dominate all the way through. Good in a mild, reserved kind of way.
