| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 3, 2005 Updated: Sep 4, 2005(Bottle) Frothy white head, clear yellow body. Nose is bready, yeasty, malty. Nice hint of smokiness and breadiness in flavor. Just needs a bit more oomph overall. Not a bad lager, just could ue a little more body and flavor. (Note: this bottle was not labelled as "Olde Buzzard Lager" but just "Buzzards Bay Lager"; also neck label says "Dortmunder"-style.) TrevorFloyd (309), Connecticut, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Aug 25, 2005 Fairly run of the mill, I couldn’t pick up on anything special in this one. While by no means bad, it just didn’t offer anything original to the style besides a bitter nuttiness that I wasn’t thrilled about. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 3/20 | Aug 18, 2005 12 oz bottle pours a murky brownish copper with a foamy two fingered head. Aroma is malty with cinnamon and apple. Taste is a lot more sour than I thought it would be with really sour limes. A really starnge brew that is best suited for the drain. beerseer (51), Lewiston, Maine, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 24, 2005 (bottle) Pours flaxen in color and comes to rest in the glass with a yellow-orange hue and a large white head (slightly fizzy). Complex smell, yeasty, a little doughy, and fruity (grapes). Lively carbonation makes it squirm on the palate. Feels smooth, dry, and crisp. Bready taste with a barely perceptible bitterness in the beginning and a slight sour tartness at the end. A good, well-balanced lager overall.
