Commercial Description:
"Our Lager (Dortmund-style) is brewed with pale, Munich and Vienna malts and is moderately hopped with Hallertauer hops. The Dortmund style evolved in the steel-making town that bares the name and is a hearty lager with great heft in the mid-palate. The hops balance the malt but not overtly so. Canadian 2-Row Pale Malt Durst Munich and Vienna malt Magnum - Bittering hops Hallertauer - Flavor & aroma hops ABV: 4.8% IBUs: 35"

Bottle, I think someone left this here at somepoint. So so nose, sweet and sour. Green apple, sourdough, lemon/lime. Orangy gold color, Good head that disappeared quickly. Sweet bitter flavors, doughy, biscuity, lime, Thin bodied, slippery creamy mouthfeel, bitter toasted finish. A lawnmower for sure, little on the sweet side for my preference.

12 oz bottle for 3.99/sixer mix pack: lightly hazy light amber w/ a short lived spare white head. Aroma initially is a very strong grainy malt. Moderate DMS with hints of green apple. Not unexpected, but DMS seems a little strong. Very, very, minimal floral hop aroma; no fruitiness. Well balanced flavor, but on the sweet malty side. Grainy malt, light floral hop flavor after the initial sweetness. Light green apple, and clean otherwise. Finish is semi dry w/ a clean, malt flavored aftertaste. Heavier light body, higher medium carbonation, smooth. Not terribly exciting, but I could find a worse beer for more money!

Draft: A sweet lager with a dark yellowish color. Doesn’t look like anything really special. Doesn’t really taste like anything special either. It’s not bad, just not great.

OK, I just can’t get excited about this. It is an average-looking, average-tasting thin little lager. Well made, I guess. Enough bitterness, I guess. Not much malt, not much mouthfeel other than an inital astringency, not much complexity or finish. I can drink this. But since it’s not low cal I wouldn/t bother with another one.

Puiiiih - what a terrible honker. Nearly straw yellow, no head, no nose at all. Sulphury stale hops taste. YUCK

Deep golden clear body that supports a sticky dense head that has a light dusting of tan to it’s color. Aroma of malt and fresh bread dough. The flavor is sweet ending with a bit of dryness. This has just a little more hops to it than the usual Dort/Helles but very drinkable just the same.
