halfonit (418), Fall River, Massachusetts, USA Jul 16, 2009 This was a pretty good straight up pale ale. It has all the typical malts and hops. I remember having this straight off the taps at the brewery itself. It taste so much better there. Too bad they decided to change their ways and retire this one. smcolw (314), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA Apr 10, 2009 Orange amber in color, the egg shell white head dies out within a minute, leaving a thin layer of minute bubbles. Some nice lace on the glass. The aroma is malty (crystal?) with surprisingly little hop. That missing hop really comes through in the flavor and the aftertaste. Thick, almost chewy with a light effervescence. A decent brew... Miver (551), WillowStreet, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 4, 2009 12 oz bottle from trade. Poured copper in color with a large frothy beige head. Aroma of grass, hay, light hops and wet grains. Tastes of very mild hops, lightly sweet, earthy, bland and not really that good. pantanap (1322), Chicago, Illinois, USA Apr 25, 2008 draft at brewery.....purely transparent medium brown pour with a thick, frothy off white head..... aroma of earthy grassy hops which make it hard to distinguish between the pils and some of the others..... flavors of mild grassy hops with a good supporting malt backbone. kosmoken (21), USA Apr 10, 2008 Has a nice hoppy finsh to it, but nothing overwhelming. Got this at the brewery so it was pretty fresh. Had a nice pour to it, with a medium head. changeup45 (782), Orlando, Florida, USA Apr 9, 2008 Pretty good, but not great, as has all of the Buzzard’s Bay beers I’ve tried. It pours a pretty nice copper color with a medium off white head. Interesting flavor. Starts off a little malty then turns spicy, bitter and hoppy. You can pretty much taste that all in one sip. Maybe a little more hop and a little less malt and we’re talking about a great Pale Ale. Dickinsonbeer (3434), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA Feb 1, 2008 Fresh on Tap. Pours a slightly hazy orangey amber with a fluffy lasting white head. Aroma is earthy, floral and almost tea-like- good EKG character- with a slight toasty malt backbone. More sweetness in the flavor upfront, but still has a fresh EKG hop character especially the nice drying tacky rough bittering form the hops in the end which was nice. pretty solid Engish pale ale. JamesCrosson (36), Fair Lawn, New Jersey, USA Dec 28, 2007 This beer defines average. The taste, pour, aroma, everything is forgettable, and unremarkable. The positive is that its drinkable and enjoyable, but so is Budweiser.
