Poured a clear reddish copper with a nice sized white head, good retention, slowly settled into a thin creamy lacing.
Aromas of citric, earthy, floral leafy hops and toasted caramel malts.
Medium bodied with a grainy mouthfeel, toasted grains and caramel malts, a light crystal malt caramelized sweetness, I like the textured hop tastes, citric hops that turn softly spicy, earthy and leafy bitter at the end, then woody and oily in the dry finish, enjoyable and easy to drink.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jun 7, 2007 Appearance: Pours a pale orangey amber hue topped with a thin white head.
Smell: A remote malt scent blended with buttery diacetyl and an underlieing grassy hop aroma.
Taste: Pretty even-steven between the malts and hops, but both particularly muted, weak even. Vague hints of biscuits, toffee, and an herbal bitterness. This beer finishes dry and crisp. There’s an ever increasing peppery taste as time goes on.
Mouthfeel: Its thin and unsubstantial on the palate. This makes for a disappointment in the mouthfeel department.
Drinkability: Its light (almost lite) and therefore easily drinkable, but this isn’t a beer I believe I’ll be returning to in the future. Poured into glass, had decent hopes as the color wasn’t too bad, though the aroma was a bit...off. I then took a sip. I thought I had had bad beer when I tried Keystone (indeed, it was bad beer), but this was without a shadow of a doubt the worst swill that I have ever had the intense displeasure of drinking. No complexity to the taste whatsoever--was simply bitter. And the aftertaste...go outside and suck on a rusty iron rod for a few minutes, let the flakes splinter onto your tongue, and then you will have an idea of what this trash was like. Undoubtedly the worst beer I have ever had. It isn’t worth even considering taking a taste; buy water, soda, anything other than this. odradek (2), Wayland, Massachusetts, USA does not count | 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 3/10 | 4/5 | 1/20 | Aug 10, 2006 something very off about this beer - a cloying, green-tasting, mouldy sweetness. big head that completely vanishes after a few minutes, leaving little oily-looking swirls. about the only thing i can say in its favor is that it has an attractive color. sisyphus12 (98), Belmont, Massachusetts, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 6, 2006 Good typical pale ale, nothing special but it does come with a hoppy aroma, a nice clean pour that gives way to a light orange appearance. Finish is smooth with a slight aftertaste Earlier Rating: 7/10/2006 Total Score: 3.8 by far, my favorite Buzzard of the lot. A good but not exceptional initial bouquet greets the drinking with a full and balanced taste to follow. Hoppy and delicious with a slighly sour finish. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 17, 2006 Pours a cloudy coppery color with a medium sized white head. Aroma is of faint malt and slight mold. Taste is of soggy malt and old hops that have been stored in damp cellars. Nothing special about this pale ale. Rather weak. puzzl (2621), New York, New York, USA

The "best by" box on the bottle had nothing printed in it, so I can’t really say if time was this beers worst enemy or what. Bland, almost nothing aroma, with a hazardously offensive taste. Buttery, with soggy, moldy fruits. The warmer it got, the worse it got. No hops to be found. I would reclassify this as an EPA myself, though it was so dreadful that it really doesn’t matter. goldtwins (4080), Nesconset, New York, USA

The aroma had a light hoppiness to it. Fruity with malty caramel. More caramel in the flavor. Mild to moderate bitterness. Acidic hop flavor. Decent body.
